Great boot! I hike rough Maine terrain up mountains every week. My shoes take a beating and so far these are holding up well. They’re comfortable right out of the box and have good traction.
Thank you for your review.
I bought these shoes for a hiking trip in the Tetons and hiked a little under 50 miles. They were very comfortable but by the end of the trip unfortunately the sole was starting to pull off from the shoe at the front. Along with this there were some punctures in the sole along with a tear in the side of the shoe. I don’t know if this damage was because of the quality of the shoe or the fact that I went through rough terrain.

The boots are very lightweight which is great for long distance however there is very little support in the ankle because of this. For that reason I don’t recommend for any flat footed folks! Also not sure if there is a shoe defect on just mine- but on the medial ankle, there is a metal piece inside both shoes that immediately gave me blisters on both of my inner ankles. Not sure if I’ll be able to figure out a hack to cover the metal up so it doesn’t dig in. I’ve had other merrells that have lasted me years! but so far, not seeing that much potential with these ones

After three hikes, there’s a hole :( so sad :( Also sad that this pair isn’t waterproof. I was hiking in rain for about three hours, and my feet were soaked in water.

I haven't tested them in wet conditions, but as for sizing, they are just a bit narrow. I've worn Siren 2's and 3's for years, one of which is the waterproof version. I think that the WP versions simply don't stretch out as fast as the non-WP versions do. I bought the same size as the other Sirens (after trying 1/2 size up too - it was too long), but I doubt I'll ever be able to wear thicker shocks with this boot. Otherwise this is a nice, lightweight boot that has some arch support, although I always add my own insert. I am feeling something rubbing just a bit around the inside ankle, but it hasn't bothered me too much yet.
Excellent hiking boot with maximum comfort AND stylish too
These boots are super comfortable! They definitely feel like a lightweight cozy sneaker yet with a lot of ankle support and beefier treads. The footbed is incredibly cushiony. I found the sizing to be perfect, actually, I know some folks commented about the sizing being off, but I did not have this experience. I’m a 7.5 women’s and they fit perfectly. Please note that the “monument” color is a bit more baby blueish than the light gray that appears in the photo. I don’t love the color in reality but the comfort outweighs the look, for sure.
These are not true to size. Way too narrow and small. I own a pair of Moabs and a pair of Thermo Rogue 3s that are perfect. I’m a size 9 and bought 9s in those and the fit is great. The Sirens are so small. Unfortunately when I tried put them on to go hiking, I realized how small they were and it was past the return date so I am now stuck with them. I wanted to love them - I absolutely love the color and design!
We appreciate your feedback. Thank you.
I’ve already gone on 2 moderate hikes and one backpacking trip with these shoes and haven’t had any issues since the first day wearing them. They are SO MUCH better than my previous Obos that were literally giving me bunions. Couldn’t recommend these shoes more! They are great for wide feet and the long treks. Happy trails!
Thank you for sharing your experience with us!
I would have given 5 stars but the fact that the traction on these are not great on snow, blacktop, wet surfaces. They are warm and have kept me feet dry. They are comfortable. The sliding, because of no grip, is horrible and, in my opinion, a reason I would not buy again. I have buckled my knee several times sliding:(
