Super Comfortable
I’ve never experienced a shoe quite like these before. They’re truly the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn. In fact they’re the only shoes I’ll ever wear for yardwork again. I can work outside all day long and still feel like I’m walking on clouds by the end it. If you’re looking for a supportive, comfortable sneaker these are definitely the shoes for you. I think they’re too chunky to run in, but they’re a great everyday shoe and could work well for walking. They’re a bit too wide in the heel for me so my foot occasionally slides around, which is why I gave them 4 stars. I think the high top version might be better for narrower feet.
Seems like a great shoe, just not for me.
I was so excited to get to review these shoes. Unfortunately, the last doesn’t work for me. The sneakers came with an extra pair of different insoles and I tried those hoping it would fit better, but no adjustment seemed to help with either insole. The arch support which seems excellent, doesn’t hit where my arch is located so it was painful trying to wear those for any length of time. This is my normal size, but they are a little big so my foot doesn’t sit in the shoe properly. I think going down a half size might have helped, but I’m not sure if the arch is a good fit for my foot. For reference, my go to shoes tend to be New Balance, Merrill’s and Clark’s.
Super comfy shoes, like walking on air
These shoes are super comfortable, with a pretty high cushiony sole that made me feel taller I wore them on walks on gravel and on trails and they held up well. I'd been worried that my achilles might rub with the way the shoe was constructed but it was no issue. The nubuck finish was super lightweight and didn't make my foot sweat in hot, humid temps. The shoe comes with two types of insoles and I wish they told you what each was supposed to be for. One had sort of a furry part on it and was just too hot in the summer. The other set seemed to have a bit higher arch support and those are the ones I ended up using. I'm still playing with the lacing - there is lots of room to loosen and tighten at various parts as the forefoot on my bigger foot gets a bit cramped feeling after about 30 minutes of walking. But I definitely recommend these shoes. They look a bit more like casual shoes (I have the black with black soles) than running shoes or exercise shoes but are definitely clunky but great for my wider feet.
Fantastic support for walks, hikes and standing!
I find the Deckers X Lab X-Scape NBK Low Shoes very comfortable and practical for numerous activities. I hike and walk in them, & have also stood in them for up to 6 hours while teaching (art, on a concrete floor) I really like the cushiony feeling the thick sole provides, another plus is a little extra height! One thing that’s really cool & comfortable is the stretchy connection between the sole and the tongue of the shoe, it makes the shoe feel flexible as you move and the laces can flex more with 2 layers that they lace through. I like the original insole a lot, the shoe came with two. I use the original insole the most because it is incredibly supportive and bouncy. I’m super picky about shoes because I’m on my feet most of the day, these Deckers X Lab feel great, they don’t feel hot or constricting. The honey comb sole design provides plenty of traction. I’ve got the black ones and they look pretty stylish!
Generous cushioning but…
These sneakers have a generous cushioning which helps greatly if you are on your feet for 8+ hours at work. Here are few things that influenced me to give only two stars. First, the sleeve inside a shoe for an extra stability makes it too tight for a foot. Unless you have a narrow feet, but for average athletic feet it’s too tight. Second, and most important, soles of the shoes has cracked and split after only four month of use. I have had sneakers that were falling apart because sole wore out from walking, but cracking and splitting raises a huge red flag for me in regards the quality of the material. I would have given this shoe only one star, but that generous cushioning absorbing a shock on hard surfaces it deserves an extra star.
So Comfortable
The exterior of the shoe may not be the style I was looking for, but the inside of the show certainly was. It felt like walking on clouds. I am currently pregnant and these shoes feel very comfortable in my constantly swollen feet. They’re great for walking or just doing some errands. I did have to wear them a time or two to wear them in, but that’s fairly standard when wearing a new pair of shoes.
Great comfort....style- eh
I received these shoes as an REI Advisor to review. I had a few thoughts upon opening the box. 1) These look huge! 2) Wait - two sets of insoles? 3) Not my style! 1) These are a substantial shoe. I'm used to more a minimalist style shoe so this seemed like a lot of shoe. HOWEVER I they are super comfortable and supportive. I've been using custom insoles for the last two years and I found I didn't need them in these shoes. I've been on my feet a lot lately and the days I've worn these have felt great! The days I wore a wimpy shoe - not so great! So I'm sold on the all day comfort. I did find them to be true to size even if they look big coming out of the box. 2) These come with a more "standard" insole and then a "slipper-like" insole. I've only used the standard. I'm not sure when I would use the other - maybe after a long day?? 3) Style is such a personal thing but between these being super chunky and the styling they just aren't my cup of tea. I will definitely wear them when I expect to be on my feet a lot but just because of the style I don't picture me wearing them out and about (unless going for a long walk!).

Being a Bodyworker and am on my feet all day long! So, I am always looking for a supportive shoe to use at work. Last week I clocked 40 hours in these little beauties. The support is great as well as the fit. What a great addition to my work wardrobe.
the COMFIEST shoe
These are super comfortable! So much cushion and support. I work them for a long walk and also for a workout at the gym and I have no complaints. I also really like the back loop that makes them easy to pull on.
