Good Sunglasses, Great Features

I was sent a free pair of Peppers Shreddator Sunglasses in exchange for an honest review. The pair that arrived was Blue with Blue Mirror, one of seven colors and patterns they offer. I wore them on five occasions: a four mile, flat neighborhood walk, a 5+ mile, 700’ up-and-down traipse through Griffith Park near downtown Los Angeles, and a 16 mile, 4600’ scale of Condor Peak. The first two were in similar environmental conditions: high 50s, calm & ~50% humidity. The last was low 50s, similar humidity, but with winds that gusted up to 24 MPH. I also wore them twice during long drives around town. IMMEDIATE REACTION: Man, these look huge! The goggle look is not a style I’d gravitate towards, but I soon began to appreciate them for two key reasons. One, they covered all the angles. Glare was not getting in! Second, and very important to me, they did not fog up! That’s a constant bane for my 7 3/4" head, thick eyebrows and oily skin. I don’t know if it’s the small vent gaps below and above each eye and/or the overall size, but I love that! UPSIDES: The case has an external clip so they can hang from a loop; good call for a large case size. They also come with a cleaning cloth. Despite their size, they fit in my car’s sunglasses holder! That was a pleasant discovery. The nose bridge is one piece molded rubber. So comfortable, and it did not irritate my sensitive skin like contact pads can. The temples rest on my ears with a mild taper, using spring pressure to stay in place. These did, and without the normal ear irritation or even headache other products have produced. They’re lightweight, yet stay in place. The polarization imparts a mild bluish-gray hue that doesn't detract from recognizing detailed irregular trail surfaces, nor keeps me from reading through my smartphone’s polarized screen protector. DOWNSIDES: They look big, but honestly, I’ll get over that, because everything else was great. CONCLUSION: I’m really happy with the features & price point. A good product to have.

Not Polarized - but great otherwise

Purchased these for my husband, he loves the fit, style, color - but they are not polarized as advertised which is the reason for 4 stars. If the polarization doesn’t matter to you, these are epic sunnies!

good sunglasses

Glasses do cover overall eye sight/ field of vision and great for protection. Are not too dark and the polarization is great. The frames are rather small, but I do have a big head so I do give this a small pass. Frames are made of plastic which could have breakage problems with repeat stretching/ use. I will use these for hiking and fishing. I would actually like these glasses for my job if they had clear lenses becasue of the overall protection area of the eyes and unobstructed vision area.

Can't be beat for the price. Great for cycling.

These are great. Very wide and tall so my view is not obstructed when using the drops. Way cheaper than other options and get the job done right.
