Nice but needs replacement lenses available
packbear

Nice polarized sunglasses, but the lenses scratch very easily. Lenses are removable, so there needs to be a way to obtain replacement lenses for these. Not having replacement lenses available from the company for purchase is a huge flaw. I've gone through 3 pairs, due to scratched lenses, but the company doesn't sell the lenses separately, so one can't replace scratched lenses. It is such a waste to have 3 sets of frames (2 of which are unneeded), just because the company doesn't sell replacement lenses for this Zephyr model. Wish Suncloud would get with the times and make replacement lenses available for purchase, to keep countless perfectly good frames out of landfills. Either that or make the lenses far more scratchproof. When my current lenses inevitably get scratched, I'll switch to a more environmentally conscious company that sells replacement lenses for this type of sunglasses style. As long as replacement lenses for these are unavailable from Suncloud (or through REI), if you are considering buying these, you should think of these as short-lived, easily scratched, disposable sunglasses.

cheap, low quality glasses

I bought these glasses for about $50 at rei. Within a week, they broke. I was taking them out of my pocket and the frame just snapped off. Made from cheap plastic, honestly shocked REI would sell these at that price.

Hell of a value

After trying a few photochoromic glasses that didn't get dark enough, I decided to get back to basics. This pair is incredibly lightweight and the most comfortable pair of sunglasses I've ever owned. They also don't look half bad and I can wear them while driving (which you can't do with photochromics.) I bought these for cycling and they work great. No fogging or slipping. But I also use them for hiking and everyday use. If there's one thing I dislike it's that the bridge is just a bit too wide for my nose and it pushes the lenses a bit too close to my face, making the "unibrow" area on my face sweat a bit. Overall, they're well made and definitely worth the price.

Super multi-purpose glasses

Excellent multi-use glasses. I use them while driving, backpacking and running. I have used these glasses in a blizzard and it kept all the snow out of my eyes and made me feel safe on the steep trail. They are also lightweight and I use it while running on the trail on a sunny day. My only grouse with the glasses is that they should have made the shades a little more darker, they do not block the sun very well if the sun is in your line of sight which usually happens right before sunset.

Pretty good

Glasses are okay. Polarized, light, comfortable. Lenses easily scratch, which is a major downside. The lenses are good, but too short which allows light in at the bottom - if you are using them for something like golfing, you really need to take them off when you hit as this is a distraction. I'd buy them again as the polarization works well with fishing, and they are fine for camping/hiking/etc., but might consider a different pair due to the issues I've mentioned

Very fragile frame

Bought a pair of these a few years ago and the temple hinge broke while they were in my pocket. Loved the way the glasses fit and I was able to get a bifocal lens on them which helps out a lot. Got a second pair les than a year ago and the nose guard broke off! The section where it broke is very small, about 1/8 diameter. Also, getting a hold of a customer service rep at Suncloud is VERY difficult

Great for the price

Gnomes made off with a different pair of SunClouds I had so I figured it was time to pick up a new pair instead of squinting at everyone while biking. First ride with them was great; I could see into the shade just fine and even as dusk passed I was still able to see relatively well. The glasses are light and the band has some "give" so neither your nose or temples will feel pressure with long wear. Since the glass wraps around your head and is partially-framed, you retain great peripheral visibility; an issue I had with my previous full-framed and flat-contoured glasses. I am very satisified with this purchase, and I have been happy with the SunCloud brand.

Exceeded expectations

These were the cheapest option of several I looked at while at the REI store and I wondered if the lower price tag would translate to a less effective product, but no-these are perfect for hiking, even with highly reflective snow on the trails. They offer excellent protection for my eyes, stay in place without slipping down my nose, and fit perfectly under the brim of my hats. The sale associate at REI who helped me find the right glasses was also phenomenal, knowledgeable, and patient. Love these glasses and REI.

They broke!!!

My glasses have already broken. My best guess at when this occurred is when I put them in my pocket in a soft case when I went into an store. I was wearing loose slacks so my pocket was not tight. The left stem is lower than the right and the lens is coming away from the frame. I am so disappointed as I have probably only worn these about 10 times and I have always been very careful with them. I loved them until this happened. Too much money to break so easily!

Great on the water....

I like them for sure. This is my 3rd pair...fyi they don't float. ha. They are my every day go to shades. Frameless on the bottom for unobstructed vision. While on the motorcycle a rock hit the lens at 60.. only had a small nick. Great for jet skis. I can read the water well with these. At only 50 bucks vs 200 for others... forget about it.

Good Value

The glasses are good value for the price. They didn't have my normal model of Native Sunglasses so I grabbed these in a hurry. The nose piece is built into the frame and not adjustable. I should have taken more time selecting the glasses because they don't fit all that well. I just hate trying on glasses while the sales person is standing there waiting. Some REIs have the sunglasses out of the case and that makes it much easier. Glasses are fine, I just need to grow my nose :-).
