I love these shoes they are very comfortable and I can walk for miles without breaking them in. If you walk through a stream they dry quickly. This is my second pair and both of them tear by the toes within a year. I really expected the quality to be better.
Great fit and comfortable, stabilizes my foot. Wonderful shoe but is wearing out on the inner ankle area (white mesh) as the shoes run together slightly when I walk. Would expect higher quality from such a pricy shoe. Otherwise, extremely comfortable!
These are the second pair of Antora 2 I have bought. Both very comfortable, cute styling but both pairs have worn in the same spot. My purple pair from 2 years ago wore holes both sides just over 6 months of everyday wear and these new black just under 6 months have wear that they will have holes soon. I have one pair of Antora 2 gortex that I haven't seen any wear in the spot but I dont wear them as often.
I bought these about two months ago per the suggestion of my spouse who swears by Merrell but was skeptical because I wear a size 11W and couldn't find any to try on in any stores. The fit was good enough, but ultimately these have caused foot, ankle and shin pain while wearing them for morning walks. I bought additional insoles as I do for all my footwear but they did not help. I can't even walk a mile in them without having foot and ankle pain. I've never had this issue with other higher end athletic footwear, which is unfortunate as I had it on good recommendation these shoes are good.
I absolutely loved these shoes, but after 3 months the sole began to collapse. I didn't notice immediately but on my daily walks I noticed the inside of my ankles were really hurting, it didn't make sense, I've never had ankle pain before. Eventually I realized the inner part of the sole, on the heel had compressed down, so while i walked, the outer part of my heel was more elevated than the inner part of my foot. I believe it's a design issue where there is a an indention, that's where it folded inward. I really loved these shoes, so it totally bummed me out when this happened.

23,000 steps. My standard goal is 5000 per day. A visit with a friend on the East Coast and she gave me a whirlwind trip of New York City. In one day there. 23,000 steps, what an investment I was so grateful that I had made prior to my trip to Pennsylvania.
They feel slippery inside; when I walk/exercise, the fabric used towards the front of sneaker make it feel like my foot is slipping around inside. Kind of irritating when doing burpees etc. When I tighten the laces it's touchy to get it not too tight/too loose, laces are slippery too and don't stay tied. Not what I was expecting from Merrell. Looks like I'm sticking to Keen and other brands that stay solid in their design. My last pair of Merrells were great. I never really leave reviews but... just wanted to share if it helps anyone. The reviews on the website are good so maybe it's just me. I'm on a budget and now have to wear these things out before buying new so I'll be slipping around for a few months so that's not great.
We appreciate your feedback, Heidi.
These shoes are so comfortable and seem super sturdy! I bought these after having a new pair of shoes from a different and slightly more pricey company, and these seem like they'll last a lot longer. I'm hoping to rotate these with the shoes I already have to try to preserve them longer, I'm so tired of shoes wearing out after less than a year. I walk my dog daily on concrete trails/sidewalks and it wears down the soles of my shoes so quickly. These seem like they'll last longer!
I bought these in mid July and while they are comfortable, it took less than a week for the white webbing on the back half of both shoes to dramatically fray. It is very noticeable, and since there is no way to fix or stop the progression of the damage, the shoes look trashed despite being in great shape structurally. It is a shame this material isn't of a better quality, as I did like them in all other ways. Now I'm just upset I wasted my money on a poor quality product.
I like these a lot, but I have a toe issue at the moment and the footbed isn't supportive enough, especially if you have a little weight on you, there's a slight gap between the pad and your sesamoid area and this causes added pressure which isn't adequately absorbed and so it comes "forward" or lays more heavily on your sesamoid area because of the gap. I ended up having to use a Metatarsal pad. I like them enough and the issues I'm having may not be issues for others.
