Second pair of these! My favorite for race day but I’ve taken them everywhere and loved them. Does really well with drainage but had enough cushion for rocky trails. Max distance I would use them for is a 50k. The fit was perfect and I didn’t experience any hot spots or breakdown in the upper. Even with the white color, they still scrubbed up nicely
Great trail shoe! Didn’t have to break them in. Already hit 30+ miles right after I got them. Did a trail marathon and they held up well! The handle is amazing and they give me confidence out on the trails. Highly recommend
Got these a month ago for short trail and OCR events. I love them. They are light weight, have great grip and drain well in wet conditions. Recently used them for the Castle Alpine Trail race in Alberta Canada (28 km and 2000 m of elevation gain) and I was super impressed with their performance and comfort on the technical climbs and descents. I got my standard shoe size and didn’t go down the recommended half size, they definitely run a bit large but I was grateful for the extra room in the toe box on the descents
These are great trail runners. I cannot do maximalist shoes and generally need both a minimal drop and minimal cushion due to patellofemural knee pain. I have tried Altra Olympus and Hokas, but both left me virtually unable to walk after a 5 mile run. These Merrells are fantastic. The sole is grippy so I feel secure on hills and in loose sand/dirt. I was afraid that the 5mm lugs + the stack height would end up being too much for my knees, but I’ve put 50 miles on these now with no problems at all. They fit well. I am a size 10 in ordinary shoes/boots, and a 10.5 or 11 in running shoes. The 10.5 is a perfect fit.
This is my favorite running shoe, from training runs to competing at Skyrunning World Championships 70k - I love how grippy, lightweight, and rugged this shoe is. It makes me feel light and fast, but has the durability to keep my feet unharmed on rocky, technical trail.
Have only been wearing these occasionally for a little over a month and the color is already coming off the toe. The use has been for casual walks. Disappointed in the durability or lack there of.
Excellent grip on rocky, wet and muddy trails. Great fit on my neutral foot. No heel slippage. Love the low stack height, low drop stable feel.
Great trail shoes!!! Perfect traction for bouldering.
Flow. This shoe became a part of me. I love this shoe. I usually require extra room in the toe box - this upper is flexible enough to create that without too much extra space shifting around everywhere else. The drop is just right, the stack is just right. The shoe is me and I am the trail. Mud - sheds. Debris - not gathering in between us. Water & Sweat - evaporate. Laces - stayed tied even in the bushes. I love this shoe.
These shoes are LONG, too long but I love them. I am ran a 4 mile trail run, and I use them for crossfit metcons and some weightlifting. You can order a 1/2 size smaller on these because of the length.
