Through snow, waterfalls, and rocky terrain theses boots kept me comfortable and dry. I did have to add some arch support but otherwise very comfortable, flexible hiking boots.
I love these shoes. Im usually a size 8 but I decided to get 8.5 in these for a little room to fit for thicker socks. Im so glad I did. First trying them on they fit true to size and I felt they were a little big, but after walking around in them all day my feet grew into them more and gave me the comfort I was hoping for. I love the look and style of these too! Very happy with purchase.
After about a decade of occasional wear, my Keen Targhee boots finally gave up the ghost. When looking for a replacement pair, I decided to give these Merrels a shot, because I was a little fed up with how clunky the large toe cap on the Keens felt. I’m so glad I tried these! So comfortable, with virtually no break in period- I wore them on a travel day to get used to them, then wore them on a short but rocky trail the next day with no blisters or hot spots. They provide a great grip and mobility, and a decent amount of ankle support. They have a slightly narrow heel, which is great for me, and an average toe box- I often struggle with slightly narrow shoes that pinch the nerves in the ball of my foot; that’s not a problem with this pair. I haven’t tested the water resistance yet, but I have high hopes. Overall a great pair of boots and I hope they have a long life!
I've only had these boots for a week, but have put a few miles on them to break them in before an upcoming mountain hike. The fit is great, they're comfortable and lightweight, and I'm blister-free.
Love these shoes, waterproof and a great fit even though I have a wide foot!
Love the look but sadly have to return because it feels so snug width wise. I don't even have wide feet. Not sure why there was a previous review that says it is wide! Even just by looking at it. I can tell it's narrow. Oh well....
Buy true size! Based on review purchased a 9 and should have an 8 have to wear insoles to fit...
I love Merrell but just wanted to warn others that the tan part of the shoe is so much darker in person, almost a full on brown. So just a heads up before buying! I was kind of bummed but probably still going to keep
Love the colors, design, and comfort! When they were new, I could stand in shallow water without getting wet. However, after wearing them for several months the blue fabric started to wear through at the sides of the toe where the shoe creases. They lost their waterproofing too. I did some repairs and still wear them for outdoor work, but I wish they had stayed beautiful and waterproof longer. :')
I had a leather pair of Merrell’s for 20 years and hiked hundreds of miles with zero blisters. Knowing I would be hiking in the heat of Utah, I purchased these. Perfect fit, and after 100+ miles still no blisters, BUT the footbed wore out. Big divot under metatarsal. I only wore these two years. Still love Merrell brand but disappointed with this boot.
