The best ski jacket maybe EVER

A follow up to my previous

As a follow-up, because it would not let me change my rating. I have now had confirmation from both the email and phone customer service. They have informed me that they do not have any expectation that their material stand up to any part of a day of skiing, and "it doesn't matter if it was while skiing, on the chair lift, or carrying the skis". At the end of the call, I specifically asked if a jacket sold as a ski jacket, which tore with one day of basic use, upheld The North Face's quality standard, and I was assured that this is the expected quality of their product. Buyer beware. I might have been unlucky, and bought one with abnormally poor quality material. But if that's the case, the north face is denying as much. Their warranty is lip service only.

Warm, functional, stylish

Pleased with this jacket for skiing - it’s a great length (slightly longer than your standard puffer for more coverage) with a good non-bulky fit (standard sizing for me) and has multiple functional pockets (including sleeve ski pass holder, internal goggle holders). While not fully waterproof like a shell, it’s sufficiently water resistant and on the flip side, the down keeps you far warmer while still being lightweight. The light blue/green is great and helps you stand out on the slopes.

Hip, cool, warm NF coat! :)

Great fun cute coat. Needed to upgrade from my long NF parka but still wanted the warmth of it. I only wore it once and got complements on the color! Love it... but I will say it gets dirty quickly on arms and wrist. It did clean up ok in a normal wash but kinda wish the material would not stain as much. LOVE all the pockets.. and the arm pit zippers to air out when getting too warm. I plan to use this after my fat tire biking in WI so I know I will use it well! OH and bonus left sleeve zipper has a googles clotth attached inside! Very useful! :) BUY IT!

No regrets. All pluses.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is everything. Super warm for those super cold CO days on the mountain. Insulated exterior pocket so I don't have to unzip my jacket to check my vert, extra room in the neck for my Melly and neck gaiter without choking and a hood you could actually wear in a storm and move your head around. And the color is so pretty.

You really thought of everything!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I purchased this jacket for a ski trip to Telluride! It was perfect!!! I stayed very warm the whole time and had a pocket for my goggles, my phone, my snack, etc. I had the perfect place to attach my ski pass. And the times I fell, the extra "tightened" inside the jacket kept snow from going up inside my jacket!!

not all that warm

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the style and fit of this jacket. I love the internal pocket, its a must. The 2 chest exterior pockets is sooooo useful. Its great for weather at least in the 40s. I can say that on a cloudy day in NYC at 35 degrees and some wind - with this jacket on is not really all that warm (i got a hoodie and long sleeve on) the outside material is soft - not sure if its really waterproof. personally, i would return since im looking for a warmer jacket. But to those who is looking for a transitional Fall right before winter jacket - this is the one!
