Would be great if WiFi connected

Great looking watch. Got 6S for woman/smaller wrist. Other sizes looked too cartoon. Got Pro for maps for trail running . Watch won't connect directly to WiFi. Error code 0105 which is incorrect password. Not true. I've spent hours removing network, adding it back, trying through Connect app, etc. Totally annoyed at this point. Will try download from computer but for the price should be able to download direct

Long Distance Hikers and Runners Beware
Caet
I purchased the Garmin Fenix 6S pro for tracking long distance multi day hiking trips as well as ultra distance hiking and running. The first issue I had with this watch is that the GPS accuracy is highly ineffective in any other mode other than full battery. Expedition Mode, a battery saving mode meant for long hikes and one of my primary reasons for purchasing the watch, is effectively useless, logging hike mileage at less than half of the total hike. Despite the GPS inaccuracies, I really liked the watch and continued to use it in full battery mode for the past few months. I've had the watch six months and the battery life has been reduced by half. At the beginning of a run or hike my watch will display "27 hours" of battery life and then run out of juice 12 hours in. I have been in contact with Garmin Customer service for the past month adjusting the settings on my GPS to "every second", making sure I have the latest update, and clearing my watches cache of additional files and it has made absolutely no difference. Do yourself a favor and buy a Coros.

Wish I were happier

This was a gift from my husband, who has had his Fenix for about 5 years. He and both of my sons love theirs and was so excited to get me one. I delayed setting mine up for over a week because I tried it on and the band is quite tight. I don’t have a “dainty” small ladies wrist. My wrist is 7.5 inches. So, I tried buying another QuickFit band for it, with no luck. I have emailed Garmin to ask if they sell a larger/longer QuickFit. They were very quick to respond. (Kudos for good customer service.) Unfortunately, they don’t. I would just like to say that all women don’t have a small wrist. I would love to be excited about my new watch, but it’s hard when it’s too tight.

Very impressed so far

I was worried it would be too heavy or too thick but it's hardly noticeable on my wrist. As a man with smaller wrists I dislike large watches, so the regular 6 was out of the question for me. It's nice being able to change the watch faces easily, so I can have a more traditional looking watch while at work or for going out to dinner and events. A couple of clicks and it changes to a watch which gives me a lot of information at a glance such as weather, forecast, heartrate etc.

Bad quality for this Garmin!

I bought this Garmin on Nov 26, 2020 but two weeks ago the screen started to show up the lines taking up 33% of watch screen. From this past weekend, this Garmin screen is getting worse and I can not see the number and can not make a choice when I work out. The number on the screen is shaking. 90% of the screen can not be seen. I do not recommend anyone to buy as it is very expensive Garmin but only can be used the short time. It is really waste the money!

Would love to see some more features

I love the concept of this watch. I also like the idea that I can use the GPS when I’m outside of cell service. There are a couple things that would just make this a stellar product. Would it be possible for you to make a app with onxhunt. Something that could simply port over your Onxhunt points into the Explore app so that I can use my native GPS in the watch for my hunts. The other thing that would be great, is if you could add features for diabetics that could help manage and give insights into diabetic health and A1C based on data from CGM or glooko import. There is also a correlation between stress and heightened blood sugar.

Great training watch!

I tend not to buy technology until it doesnt work anymore. I have had a forerunner 305 for ten years and just love that watch. I thought nothing could take its place. And then I got the Fenix 6S. I love how lightweight the watch is, its stylish and not clunky. One of the things I Iove most is i can set up which features I want to track during my workouts.anf the HR monitor being part of the watch when i wear it is a new feature i never thought i would see without wearing a strap on my chest. Lastly, i LOVE that it pairs with an app on my phone so i can instantaneously see all my stats. For someone who hates change this watch won over my heart.

Could be more durable

I bought this watch about 2 weeks ago, I previously had the forerunner 235 for about 3 years. This watch has awesome features that my previous watch did not have. However, I have had the watch for 2 weeks and the rose gold tint that is around the lens already has many scratches and dents in it. The lens is suppose to be scratch proof I believe so when I bought the watch I assumed the whole watch face would also be very durable, I was unfortunately wrong. I haven’t done anything with the watch on that I would have thought would have caused these marks, just every day wear. My forerunner seemed much more durable than this watch.

Do Far So Good

I've been a basic Fitbit user for the last five years but started running and training harder so I needed a tracker to keep up with me. This is definitely a stylish piece with rich features that I'm not starting to learn. There is a wide differential between FitBit heart rate measure and Garmin so I'm trying to figure those out. I tested an Apple watch for a few days before I landed with Garmin. An Apple Watch is just an iPhone on your wrist with terrible battery life. The Garmin Battery life is awesome for such a feature rich piece and you can make adjustments to either extend or lessen the life. It's a bit early to give a full review but so far I love it!

Got a dud, with a steep learning curve

I bought this as a present for my wife. She initially was super excited, but out of the box, it would freeze up on the garmin logo and force resets that would disconnect from her phone (the time was off). She would have to do another intial re-connect each time. Although the feature set is extensive, the menus are not intuitive or easy to access. It takes too much effort to start an activity - so much that you spend so much time waiting and scrolling through menus that it gets frustrating. We both wanted to love the watch and it is gorgeous, but the fact that it was a dud out of the box means I can't recommend it.

Amazing!

I decided to upgrade from my Forerunner 620 and I could not be more pleased. Garmin has always made an exceptional product and they have even more amazing customer service to back it up. The Fenix 6S is just another example of an excellent product. I mainly purchased it to better understand my elevation gain/loss out on the trail along with the safety features. I’ve used other map functionalities on my phone out on trails and have been disappointed when I lose service but the Fenix map function is crazy accurate and gives me peace of mind out on trails and in remote areas. Thank you Garmin again for another AMAZING product! I could not be happier with my purchase!!!
