New version fits so well

I used to actually wear the old version of the men’s hiangles (blue) because I thought they fit my feet slightly better than the old women’s pink ones. But these new versions of the womens hiangle fit my foot so well - really precise with toeing in on tiny foot holds and the heal fits perfectly too! That’s a hard combo to always find in a climbing shoe. I would say my heal is narrow and my toe box is slightly wider than the old womens hiangle. But not incredibly wide. Anyway, I recommend giving them a shot because the fit of these is even better than the old ones IMO- and I swore by the old blue men’s hiangle!

Fave shoes, but quality has gone down

I love Hiangles — they fit my feet so well. But my last 2 pairs, purchased in 2022 and 2023, lasted only several months. They also failed in an unusual spot - over the toe rand, with a lot of rubber still left on the sole of the toe. My toes blew through both pairs in 4-5 months. For comparison, my older Hiangles are still intact in the toes and have worn down normally (rubber coming off the sole over time).

Excellent shoe, terrible company.

Why would I not recommend this product while giving it 5 stars you may ask? That is because instead of embracing climbing and utilizing the enormous resources has to become the number one climbing shoe brand, Adidas has decided to stop making climbing products and kill possibly the best shoe on the market — the Hiangle. If you work in the climbing department of Five Ten (if it even still exists), step up to the plate and keep this brand alive. Or don’t, maybe you don’t care about this brands potential so you just accept the money your boss gives you before time runs out.

Beware not the same sizing as previous models.

They really messed up the sizing and design… I usually wear a sz 7 in the previous hiangle pink model- I love the fit so much I have owned 3 pairs.. I got a size 6 in this new model- it feels good in the toe box but too much dead space in the heel and the straps won’t tighten as well because they made the velcro part bigger than the loop?? It limit how much you can tighten the shoe. I’ve been consistently buying the hiangles but unfortunately the changes they made are not for the better. Might have to start shopping for a new shoe that fits right all over again.

Love these shoes!

These shoes are perfect for overhanging terrain and small technical footholds. The hiangles have been my go-to shoe for years.

Extremely comfortable climbing shoe

They are a tight squeeze to put on, but once they are on they feel great. Very secure for heel hooks. The toe box feels very solid with perfect amount of stiffness. The elastic over the top of the foot provides most off the security of the fit, I feel like, as I have to use the straps properly. Maybe the straps are not even necessary but I will have the option if the shoe starts to loosen as it is worn. Highly recommended, I much prefer them to the various pairs of scarpa shoes I’ve used and could never find a comfortable range

Really comfortable shoe

I'm a EU 42 in most sneakers with a flat sole. I recommend going for your streetshoe size, or even half a size up. Really comfortable shoe. I got these in a 42,5 and they were a bit baggy on the top of the shoe, but the shoe still performed really well. I would go for my streetshoe size next time probably. That would be better for my narrow feet. I want to add that the shoe basically had no break in period. It was good straight from the box.

A tough fit but a great climbing shoe

It's definitely very small. Size up a full size. I'm normally a 6.5, but they recommended I size up to 7 so I did, but it was too small until I sized up toa 7.5. Breaking it in was painful but went by quickly. Great, strong rubber and nice adhesion to the heel, makes for easy toe and heel hooks even on tricky, small, or smooth holds. Got dirty really quickly because it's white, but that's fine. 10/10 would recommend.

Way too small

Five Ten is supposed to have new sizing measurements more in line with regular sizing. I wear a 39 normally and still ordered a 40 because I expected them still to be on the small side. They were still so small, I couldn't even fit my foot in unless I bent my toes! I guess I'd need a 42 or 43... Impossible to figure out sizing with this brand... Every shoe changes.

I love the updated hiangles!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These have a much better fit than the previous model. The toe feels much better and they are more comparable to previous hiangles. The only reason I dropped a star is because the first pair I got had loose stitching and the seam was already coming apart. However, I was able to exchange them with no problem. I ordered the same size as my street shoes.
