Love these jeans
I wanted to get new white jeans but fit is always a gamble, as most slim legged jeans on me are too tight in the calves. I normally wear a size 4 (5'3", 119 lb) but guided by the reviews, I ordered size 2 and 0. Surprisingly, the size 0 jeans fit perfectly and were comfortable immediately, no stretching or bending needed to decide if they were right. They fit me somewhere between skinny jeans and girlfriend jeans, which is what I was aiming for. The rise is perfect...fits my bum snugly. The white fabric is soft and of good quality, not see through at all. I was delighted, and just ordered another pair in beach blue. Thanks Carve for these great jeans.
Great jeans!
Glad I saw other reviews - I sized down and the fit was spot on. I'm typically 10 or 12 - solid 12 in athletic slim cut apparel. I got size 10 and the fit was just like the model. I'm bigger in my butt and legs, so it's hard to find jeans that have extra room in those areas without being huge everywhere else. Great color - I got the more faded-worn blue. Worth the price!
Favorite white jeans ever!
I usually hate how white jeans look on me but these feel great, look great, stay up without a belt and are opaque enough to not see what color underwear I have on. I did note from reviews that these run a little smaller than the blue denim Carson jeans and found this to be true. Still runs larger than most other brands of jeans so I sized down one size for the white Carsons instead of sizing down by two, which I did for the for the blue denim Carsons I have. For me, this strategy worked perfectly. I lift heavy and have muscular calves; Sometimes jeans that are tapered tend to need tugging at the ankles when I stand up but these don’t require any tugging.
Vanity Sized
I recently purchased jeans from another company in size 6. The reviews said to size down, so I started with a 4. Exchanged for a 2, and then exchanged again for a 0. I NEVER wear a size 0. The 0 was still too big in the waist, and I could take them off without unbuttoning them. The seat was oddly tight, and the rise is low, not mid-rise (as advertised). Because of the odd fit, I would need a belt and the way they hit emphasized a muffin top that I do not have. For context, I'm 5'5", 130lbs. I have a short torso, so normally mid-rise are higher on me. These were only held up by my hip bones. I really wanted these too work
Love these Jeans
I purchased the Carson Jean- beach blue. They are soft and comfortable. I wasn't sure whether or not to size down because a boyfirend jean should be loose. I am 5'7 and weigh 155. I bought the 10 and I'm glad I did. They are loose but I like them like this. If you want yours a bit more fitted, then size down. I'm thinking about getting another pair and sizing down for a less casual sloppy look. The jeans are stretchy so if an 8 is a bit snug, it will stretch out in a couple hours. The only issue is the color is not as blue as it looks in the picture. It's more of a grayish blue, but I still like them. Now I want the cords!
Just what I was looking for
I was looking to update my wardrobe a bit given current denim trends, but without being too trendy (I.e. I’m just not into the full-on “Mom jeans” or extremely high waists). These are perfect — the waist is actually what I’d call low-to-mid rise, the fit is loose enough to not be skinny jeans, but not overly baggy, the cuffs look good up or down depending on the style you’re going for. Definitely size down 1 to two sizes — I’m usually between an 8 and 10 in most brands (5’4”, 150 lbs), so based on reviews I ordered 6 and 8. I’m keeping the 6 as it is comfortable and just loose enough in the legs, while the 8 feels like it might start falling down after some wear.
Nice jeans but sizing is WAY off
I purchased these jeans in my normal size (14). I have a curvy figure (5'6'' and 179lbs) and range between a large 12 and a 16 depending on the brand as outdoor brands tend to run small. These jeans are HUGE. I can't wear the 14s without a belt or they will fall off. I ordered a 12 and they are much better, more like I would have expected a normal 14 to fit. Still loose, but not falling off, much more like the pictures of the jeans. You should order a size down from your normal size. And probably 2 sizes down compared to most outdoor brands (exofficio, northface). Once you get the right size, they are nice jeans.
Impressive!
I hadn't had a pair of jeans for a while, and decided to keep these even though I was initially a little unsure about fit. I've had them for almost a year and really happy with how they've worked out. They somehow have enough stretch to really adjust around your body, and let you move without restriction--without stretching out or riding down. The cotton is sweatpant-rivaling soft. They look more put-together than other boyfriend/girlfriend style jeans I've seen, in my opinion. Obviously not like a slim/dress jean, but they are nearly perfect for what they are. Go one size down from your usual, like the reviews say.
These jeans are HUGE
I really enjoyed how soft they were, the length was good, and I really really wish they fit, but they are ENORMOUS. I usually wear a size 4, I sized down to a 2 and they were still falling off. I couldn't even exchange them for a size down because they apparently do not even make 0 in jeans. I like vanity sizing as much as the next person but this is a little extreme. I get they are supposed to be a "loose" fit but it was far more than that. I was tempted to keep them since I liked everything else about them - but I cringed to think what they would be like after a week of wear and loosening up further, as jeans do.
Hi. I am so sorry we are out of stock in size 0. We do make size 0 in all of our bottoms and will be getting more in April.
More stretchy, less durable than anticipating
I really wanted to like these jeans, but ended up being disappointed by the material and level of stretch. I was anticipating a more durable, less stretchy jean. I have another pair of Carve pants that I love and have worn through the knees. With the reviews and comments these pants had, I was hoping for a similar experience! Ultimately, I ended up returning because they weren’t what I was looking for. As far as size goes, they are a loose fit. I ordered down, as recommended, and they were still loose. If the material were less stretchy and more durable, I would have kept them and I’m sure would have loved them.
