Don't trust the temperature rating of 29.7(F). I was freezing in this sleeping bag at just 40(F). This one is good enough for summer camping but not for fall/winter.
I am a full time bike tourer and over the past 3 years I have spent 300 nights in this bag. It’s a great warmth for mild nights but I’ve slept in it (with layering obviously) down into negative temperatures. However its best stands out for its durability, its insulation is still in tact after 300 nights and it has withstood many washes industrial washers and dryers, and only has torn in one small place. Over the years I have had super expensive bags but this remains one of my favorites, and especially for the price I think this is the best bag you can buy!
Got caught in a torrential thunderstorm with lightning and rain for days and hadn't packed the warmest clothing for nighttime. Had this new sleeping bag, and it saved me! It was spacious enough (I am a small-ish person, to be fair) to fit my small almost 4 year old in next to me when the storm got super loud. It was easy to wash and dried quickly.
Lighter then I thought it would be. Good quality compression sack, though not waterproof and I doubt very water resistant. Nice storage sack. Nice bright colors. Quality seems so so. The first one I ordered had a defect in the baffling. This one seems to have some loose threads (one random blue one?) This packs down relatively small, about on par with the men's version of the bag. Good fit for a 50L pack. Haven't taken this out yet to see how accurate the temperature rating is. Will update if I'm disappointed. If the temperature rating does hold true, then a good choice for a budget backpacking bag for spring-early fall.
I'm a male at 5'6" so the regular length fits me perfectly. It's comfy for me down to 30f and at 18f I needed to layer up considerably. I did just get a better sleeping pad so my absolute lower limit now is probably closer to 15f For a winter season regularly under 30f, I'm considering getting a warmer bag. But CA has very mild winters
I was very excited to get this bag, but unfortunately I was freezing in 32 degree weather. I had to wear insulated jacket just to be able to fall asleep in it. However, it's a very light sleeping bag and very easy to pack. So if you're looking for more summer/early fall sleeping bag it would be a perfect fit!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I overheat super easy and sleeping bags tend to make me pretty uncomfortable. I bought a marmot bag years ago and it was my absolute favorite. Super lightweight and compact, it keeps me warm but never overheated and there was never any issues with the zippers. I ended up loosing that bag and not buying a new one for a couple years. I finally decided to get a new bag and figured marmot would be the best place to look. It turns out not only did they still make the same bag it's not made out of more eco-friendly materials! I ordered the bag and got it very quickly in the mail and am very pleased with my purchase. I can't wait to be able to go out with my own sleeping bag again!
Gorgeous bag, seems well made, compresses very small and is lightweight. I'm 5'3" and about 170. This bag is tight around the shoulders and I felt claustrophobic when it was fully zipped. The length was great and it was extremely warm after 10 minutes in a 65 degree house.
At this point I have only used the sleeping bag for 2 nights in Central Florida. The first night the low temp was 42 degrees F. I was plenty warm even had to unzip the sleeping bag at times. I look forward to using the sleeping bag on my trip to Torres Del Paine in December this year. Keep in mind that this bag comes in either a left or right zip. Some websites only carry one zipper configuration. My first bag was a right zip bag. As a right handed person, this was awkward for me.
gorgeous bag and did its job perfectly! love all of the cinches and built ins for extra comfort, safety and security it provides. we camped in a super sketchy area and this bag assisted in a good nights sleep.
