I got this pair as a warranty replacement for a pair bought January; the inner heel material in the last pair deteriorated within 2 months. So far the heel material is still in tact on this pair but within a month there’s already a hole/separation on the toe of the left shoe (see photo). I have Asics that I’ve owned for 8 years that I now mow in that have held up fine, but my last 2 pair have been really sad. I’ll be filing another warranty claim and see what happens with that. Unfortunately if the quality does turn around, and quick, I’m not sure ASICS will be around much longer.
I have been a loyal fan of Asics shoes for several years and have been happy with the last couple versions of the GT-2000 line. When reviewing the new version 6 I found a couple of online reviews that showed pictures of the upper mesh material falling apart, but I figured that it was just do to some extreme usage. Well, I have really only been wearing my Asics for walking and light exercise and after a couple of short weeks, the exact same thing happened to me. The upper mesh has completely come undone. The white you see in the attached photo is my sock....and I'm pretty sure its not supposed to be showing through the torn mesh material. Stay clear of this particular version of the GT-2000 line.
Very comfortable running shoes, however mesh get apart after few uses. In the picture you can see the holes (white). Wear comes from inside.
My 17 yr, 5' 10", 185 lb grandson has worn these shoes for overpronation for several years. Asics GT 20006 are the most comfortable, supportive, helpful shoes we have found. He wears them daily and for sports, especially great help for that-no injuries to his ankles or feet x3 yrs! These shoes do not wear out quickly! You'll be tried of how they look long before they need replaced. The only complaint from him is that they are not very stylish. It would be nice if Asics GT 20006 came in more vibrant color choices for teens. Because his feet no longer hurt he will pick them every time even though he calls them 'the grandpa shoes'.
Bought these in March. Have had 50 runs for less than 200 miles and the tread is already worn out. The wear is similar to what I experience after 350 miles which is when I typically buy a new pair. Also feel like they are not as supportive as the prior model. Not sure if its related but shortly after I got these I developed inflammation in my foot which has never happened before. I've been a loyal Asicis GT 2000 buyer for the last 6 years and typically go through 3 or 4 pair a year so I'm definitely disappointed in the new design.

After just a few weeks of use, the material inside of both heels have worn off. The mesh upper also is wearing quickly. This is the same line of shoe in the same size that I've been wearing for 20 years, never with a problem before. Something's changed in terms of quality or shape/fit.
I bought these shoes Jan 25 2018 and in less than a month the upper mesh started separating and ripping. 60 days into the shoe both shoes completely blew out. Make sure you read the other reviews this is a very common issue. The shoes are defective.
I’ve been wearing this line of shoes (or the kayano) for nearly 20 years. Always the same size. Until now, I was always pleased. After only a few weeks in the new pair, the heel interior rubbed off, and now I’m getting blisters.
I've been running with Asics GT-2000 series for last five years. Fantastic products. But this is what I get after only 350km (in 4 months) Asics should change all GT-2000 6 to anyone purchased for free
