[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this product a few years ago. Wanted a lighter weight bag that compresses well. This bag weighs in right at 2 lbs and comes with a compression sack so it compresses to a very small size. Used it down to around 25 degrees and was a little cold, but I think that had as much to do with the sleeping pad. It's synthetic fill but really light. Only drawback is it's a pretty narrow bag, so may feel confining to some. Really good option if you are looking for a lightweight bag that compresses well, with the benefits of a synthetic fill bag, and not wanting to spend a lot of money. Good value, lifetime warranty too.
Have used this bag on a few back packing trips this summer and so far has performed great! The size and warm to weight ratio are the phenomenal. It lofts up like down. Only negative is it's a bit too snug for me. That's usually my problem with mummy bags anyway so can't fault this specific bag for that. It's the best synthetic bag I've ever owned!!
Great bag. Cool and warm at the same time. Breathes well and has ample room for a restful sleep. Super light for packing and does not hog the pack. Must buy.

I’m pretty disappointed by this synthetic fill sleeping bag. I have always had down, but was interested to try to a new more sustainable filling material with a compact size. I was hoping for something a little warmer and with better quality... the compression sack it came with ripped immediately the first time it was used. I also didn’t find the material nearly as warm as rated and was subsequently cold on an entire expedition. It’s definitely a good price, but unfortunately I feel like I got what I paid for...
I have been using this bag since the beginning of summer - while it is a great summer bag (and packs extremely small), it should NOT carry an 20 degree rating! The EIN comfort rating stitched on the bag shows 33 degrees, and even that is on the lower limit. I don't know why Marmot does not adhere to the EIN comfort rating. This will remain my summer bag, but I need something else for anything sub 40 degrees - I paid the price with many cold nights this fall.
I've had this bag for two years, purchased the long version because of my height. At 6' 2" it still feels a little short and doesn't leave much room for my head when in full mummy. The stuff sack seems kinda cheap and had ripped at first use. The most disappointing being the temperate rating, do not rely on this bag for 20f. I've since given this to my wife now uses this as her summer bag. On the hunt for something better.
Unbelievable value for the money - Just finished a 5 day autumn backpack to the Sierras that included a rainy-snowy night, several others in the low 20's, and one where a bunch of drinking water dribbled onto my bag at 2 am despite my best efforts to do otherwise. "Brrr!", you say? "No!", I retort. My Ultra Elite was cozy and warm throughout, even when it got a bit wet. It's definitely a snug fit for my 5"11" frame, but hey, it's so light you'll be thankful for one less pound on those endless slogs climbing up to the next campsite. The compression sack worked just fine (without tearing, thank you) and packed so small, I had room for extra cognac. This was a big hit with my hiking buddies, so they also recommend that someone in your group bring along a lightweight Marmot bag. Come to think of it, maybe that's why I was so warm..... Or why the water dripped in....
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't know how Marmot makes a synthetic 20-degree bag that weighs less than 2 lbs but they did and at a great price point. I bought this for potential wet weather and stream crossings where the bag could get wet. It's been warm and cozy down to the low 30's even in a light weight tent. Although a new purchase, I've had it out to Zion and Anza Borrego and couldn't be happier.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used this as a winter bag for about two busy seasons. I’ve gotten it down into the low teens, but while wearing ski bib, multiple layers, and a high loft jacket. Cold but slept. The extreme rating is 20 and that’s fair. I’m 5’9 and 155lbs, and it fits great. I think the bag is genius and one of the best bags on the market. Pretty much my favorite bag and totally recommend.
