Not usual patagonia quality
I found the material insubstantial, the down fill had gaps (so only the nylon is covering you) and worst of all, the zipper was IMPOSSIBLE to start at the bottom. even when I packed it up to return and had it laying on the table in front of me, I could not get the zipper to zip. Totally not worth the money. I think patagonia is coasting on their reputation and brand popularity. There must be better quality jackets out there.
Terrible zipper
I love the fit of this Fiona jacket .... feminine and comfortable.... BUT.... the zipper is impossible to unzip at the bottom. I returned the first one thinking it was defective... but the second was ihorrible too... sending it back.... SO disappointed in this Patagonia $300 coat....
Defective zipper
The zipper really is as bad as the other reviews have stated. I tried it on once and the zipper is impossibly stuck at the bottom. The shoulders are significantly tighter in this coat as compared to my other Patagonia coats in the same size as well. Super disappointing as the coat is the perfect weight and would have worked well under my Lash Point shell.
Zipper is a huge problem
I really liked this coat - fit and color was perfect, but the zipper was always a problem. This fall when I put it on the zipper stuck and could not be fixed. I thought about sending it back to Patagonia, but after reading these reviews I see that the zipper problem is not unusual. At the REI store where I returned it, they claimed they had never heard of any problems with the zipper. HAH! Patagonia is notorious for having bad zippers. It's too bad.
pantagonia needs to fix the zipper issues
after a year having my jacket for the second winter season the zipper does not zip down and it is too late to return disappointed would have liked for the jacket to last more than 2 seasons
Go-To Jacket for 2 Years
I was surprised to see bad reviews for this jacket, because I love it! It's plenty substantial for bay area winters, and the length is great for layering over longer shirts and dresses. I bought this before a 2017 Baltic cruise, hesitating because of the price, but I have certainly gotten my money's worth out of it! And it's not showing any sign of wear after almost 2 years of frequent use. Fabric is sturdy, zipper works great. Couldn't be happier
Had to return it
Has a very strange fit in the upper arms, and I am petite on top.
Not like it used to be
This jacket had gone downhill since previous years its almost no down filling now with the thinnest layer where this jacket use to be alot thicker and more plush. This jacket also runs large now and is not as fitted as it used to be.
Pocket zippers terrible too.
I have had this jacket for two years and both side pocket zippers split and caught and proved useless. I sent it to Patagonia when the first pocket split, and they fixed it quickly and for free. Within a week of it being returned, the other pocket split. Not even worth sending it back at this point. Agree with the others, not the quality I have always trusted Patagonia to be.
Looks and feels great
Yes, the zipper has been an issue. It is apparently a waterproof zipper which makes it harder to start. My husband has not problem zipping it. I can now zip it most of the time. But it is a stylish, beautiful coat/jacket and fun to wear.
