These feel so-0-0 good!

I just got back into doing a little jogging after 20 years hiatus. Although, I walk alot, my senior citizen feet were not prepared for me to step it up, and the shoes I was wearing did not help. After reading the reviews of different shoes, I decided these would be the ones, and they have not disappointed. I have a somewhat narrow heel that would slide up and down in the older shoes, dragging my socks down, and making an unstable base. These shoes fit my heel snugly, and the back comes up to the ankle. It has a nice wide toe area, and a well-cushioned bottom. My feet have quit complaining.

I Wanted to Love these Shoes ...

I wanted to love these shoes. They are comfortable. My issues are these: 1) there is no water resistance at all, mist on grass gets into the shoe and I am stuck with wet socks until I can take the shoes off; 2) somethings up with Brooks quality - after a short time my big toe began to wear away the inner lining on my right shoe - Brooks customer service told me I was either wearing cheap socks (I don't think so!) or I had a case of "active toe" (whatever that is). I have worn Brooks Ghost shoes for a long time and never had an issue with the materials used in the shoes - but I am disappointed with these.

Great for a high arch!

I typically have problems with my toes falling asleep in tennis shoes due to a high arch; normally I solve this with creative lacing techniques. A friend suggested a wide toe box might solve this problem, and after investigating, I discovered that Brooks are well known for this trait. So, I waited for the annual membership discount, and splurged on these beauties. Boy, are they worth it! Very comfortable, great for running, only so-so for cross training (not surprising, though, and really not their main intention). I bought up 1/2 a size from my usual to accommodate possible swelling, which has worked out well. Recommended for a high arch or toes that fall asleep!

Brooks Ghost 10 Rock!!!

I am an avid walker. My boyfriend bought me this pair of shoes for Christmas. I couldn't believe how comfortable these shoes are. I HAVE NEVER had a better fit. The toe box is wide compared to a lot of the other shoes out there so my toes are never squished. My heel is also cradled and supported in this shoe. I can go for an 8 mile walk and my feet aren't tired AT ALL. In fact, these shoes have so much support around the heel and arch that I could go for another 2 miles. I love these shoes so much that I went back and bought another pair so when my originals wear out, I have another pair. BY FAR, the BEST shoe I've ever had. You will not be disappointed!

Hits all 3 requirements!

These shoes hit all the important requirements! They offer the perfect balance between stability, cushion and launch. I run 4-7 miles a day outdoors and in the treadmill and my feet, heels, pad, and ankles never fatigue. I never get shin splints wearing brooks because they are firm where they need to be and also cushiony where it counts. I used to run in Asics which are very comfortable to walk in until I tried brooks and won’t turn back. Other important features: my feet do not sweat, they’re a very light weight shoe, have plenty of room while magically remaining secure in the heel and toe box and the laces never come untied or become loose with 1 knot. I love the ghost line and these ghost 10s!

I use them for Walking

Love these shoes. I have arthritis in my left big toe so wanted a shoe that would cushion that area and allow me to continue walking my 5-7 mile routine in comfort. Plus I was looking for something light weight I could travel to Spain with this Fall. So far so good. I would highly recommend these shoes

Best shoe I ever bought

After a year or so of my feet hurting I purchased this shoe. As soon as I put it on I knew this was the best for my feet. They were light, comfy padding and very roomy. Great for somebody with bunions as they expand. I am purchasing a couple more pairs so that when these wear out I will have others. Can't imagine wearing anything else.

Switched shoe brands

I've been a runner for about 20 years now. For the last 15 or so years, I have worn Mizunos. I have wide feet, and bunions. The newest Mizuno model seemed narrower, and the mens model seemed a little too big in the heels. So, I read shoe reviews from sporting magazines and made the switch. I have about a 100 miles on them so far, and have no complaints.

Walking on clouds

I have aching feet with high arches and a wide left foot with a heel bone spur. I have had plantar fasciitis and achilles tendinitis. Oh my. I use to have normal feet! So, it is hard for me to find comfortable shoes. I found these Brooks Ghost in wide width that are also cute. I get compliments on them almost every time I wear them. They are cushioned and have pretty good arch support which could be better but it works. (The Brooks Ghost 8 had better arch support but did not last long for the price.) These also have very roomy toe box. Very padded with no friction anywhere. I always buy at REI if I can because of their wonderful return policy and membership rewards. I received a $20 gift card with this purchase.
