Boost with Every Step

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shoes are extremely comfortable, and the responsive sole makes it feel easier to run at a faster pace. The cushioning is very bouncy and almost feels like it gives you a little lift-off with each step. The rocker design makes forward movement feel effortless and encourages a faster pace. When running or sprinting, they almost make you feel more athletic by helping propel you forward. Their lightweight construction and stability are especially well-suited for high-intensity runs, sprints, and explosive movements. I only tested them on shorter runs and speed work, so I can’t speak to how they perform on longer distances.

runs small. size up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] very stable good feeling overall but a bit hard for a, long run, cushioned shoe no room in toe box. wouldn't use it for more than 10k. i ran a 14k and lost my big toe nail on both feet.

Fun and fast

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First impression is this is a fun and fast shoe. I have set out on a few easy runs and these shoes make you want to go fast. The RapidRoll Rocker makes for a much more efficient stride, I felt propelled with each step thanks to the structure of the sole and light springy feel of the shoe. They fit true to size, the upper is very comfortable, lightweight, and breathable, it feels similar to a sock. I was a little nervous about the tongue because it bunches quite a bit on my narrow foot, but the fabric is so light weight, I didn't even notice once I was running. The Hyperion Max 4 is incredibly lightweight, super comfortable while still offering support, and most importantly, fast.

Running on air cloud

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first time owning a high performance running shoe and it did not disappoint. The Hyperion Max 4 allowed me to keep at a fast set pace without losing energy due to foot fatigue during my daily run. The design of the shoe rocks and propels you forward with each stride. I only run a couple miles daily but felt I could complete more while wearing these shoes as the design of the shoe helped make my runs feel effortless. I love the cushion and balance the base of the shoe provides. My feet felt secure but also lightweight like I was running on air. The color of the shoe is a beautiful yellow gold with silver sparkling trim. The only negative I would say is the shoe runs a bit on the smaller side and I would recommend to go up a half size!

Fast and lightweight

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, I’ve really enjoyed the new Hyperion Max 4. These shoes are perfect for days when I’m focused on improving my speed and pace. The SpeedVault plate effectively propels me forward without using excessive energy. Additionally, it provides excellent arch support, preventing my arches from feeling fatigued too quickly. The heel-to-toe transition is remarkably smooth, and the cushioning offers a comfortable yet stable feel. I appreciate the breathable upper, which strikes a balance between flexibility and support. The tongue remains securely in place, ensuring a snug fit. Overall, these shoes offer a lot of features while maintaining a lightweight feel. In my opinion, I found them to run slightly small, and I wish I had sized up from my usual 8.5 to a 9. Looking forward to putting many more miles on these shoes!

Amazing Long Distance Shoe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Brooks Hyperion Max 4 delivered an excellent combination of lightweight performance and dependable support throughout training and a half marathon. The shoe felt responsive during tempo runs and faster workouts, with strong energy return that made pace changes feel smooth and efficient. It was an excellent shoe for helping maintain speed while still providing enough stability and comfort for longer efforts. The heel-to-toe transition was exceptionally smooth, and the plate and rocker worked together to create noticeable forward momentum, especially at faster paces. Despite its lightweight feel, the shoe offered plenty of underfoot protection during long runs and race day, keeping my legs feeling fresh without sacrificing responsiveness. Overall, the Hyperion Max 4 balanced speed, cushioning, and efficiency exceptionally well, making it a versatile option for both hard training sessions and racing.

Love these shoes!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve never tried a shoe quite like the Hyperion Max 4. Yes, the underfoot rocker concept takes some getting used to, and yes, these shoes look a little bulkier. Minor inconveniences (if they can even be called that) for a remarkably lightweight and comfortable shoe. The underfoot cushion makes it feel like I’m running on a cloud and the breathable upper mesh is great for hot summer runs. These required no real break-in time and were basically ready to go out of the box. The rocker panel certainly felt like it was propelling me forward, although I’m not sure my run times reflected that. I also love the silver reflecting details and logo. When the back of the shoe catches the light, it’s a fun silvery shimmer. Hopefully, with the rubber outsoles, these shoes will last me a long time, as they have become my new go-to shoes for longer runs. These do seem to run slightly narrow in the toe box, so if you like a roomier feel, consider sizing up. Highly, highly recommend!

My new go-to

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been team Hyperion for years now and the Max 4’s did not disappoint. A nice comfortable ride that kept my legs fresh. Feels a little bouncier than the 3’s which had been my favorite to date. These knock them down to second place. Perfect shoe for a long run or speed work.

walking on clouds

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] oh my god. I should have gotten into Brooks sooner. Hoka and On Cloud advertise that they feel like walking on clouds. This one actually feels like walking on clouds.

Speedy Endurance Shoes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hyperion Max 4 is a truly impressive shoe. I could feel the forward momentum from the rocker from the very first try-on. During long tempo runs, that momentum is noticeable, carrying you through the mid and later miles of a run. It kept my legs feeling fresh, even over longer distances. Brooks has definitely struck the perfect balance, creating an incredibly lightweight shoe that does not sacrifice underfoot protection. I also appreciate the durability of the rubber outsoles, which will help with longevity of the shoe. The heel-to-toe transition is seamless and fluid, making these my new go-to shoe for race days, for half marathons to full marathons. I feel that the Hyperion Max genuinely improves my speed, allowing me to maintain a faster pace over longer distances. While the fit is slightly snug due to the generous heel padding, this is a minor adjustment, and I found the shoe comfortable after just two runs. I love the overall design, vibrant color and fabric of the shoe. It is so breathable, yet holds shape and the tongue design is amazing, there is no slipping of it. Overall, the Hyperion Max 4 delivers a smooth, efficient, and highly responsive ride.
