Incorrectly listed capacity
After 5 runs with this bottle, I found that I was always running out of water sooner than expected. I measured the capacity a number of times and it turns out that this bottle doesn't hold more than 12 fl oz! I often only get 10-11 oz if I fill up the flask while it's still in the holder. Additionally, the hand strap system looks neat but isn't shaped well for staying in your hand. To accommodate for this, there are (silicone?) grippers on the inside of the hand straps which rub uncomfortably on long runs. Pros: Large pocket fits phones and many gels. Twist-lock cap is nice. Aesthetically pleasing. Cons: Capacity is 33% less than advertised! Grippers on strap are uncomfortable. Bite valve on a hand-held bottle with a twist lock seems superfluous.
Perfect for shorter runs
This bottle is perfect for sub 10 mile runs. Enough room for an ID and some cash and a Gu or 2. Often forget I'm holding it. Wouldn't change a thing.
Good idea, poor execution
I bought this in hopes that I could get through my ten mile training runs. While it says that it's 17oz., I really doubt it. Maybe if it was completely blown up with air or something. It's really only about 10. It DOES hold my gels, salt pills, and keys, which is perfect. I just wish it held more fluid. It really only lasts for two or three good pulls, then it's done.
Super slick; limited volume and difficult to empty
This is a beautiful product to look at/hold on to - super comfy to handle, easily stores what I want on a couple hour run, easy to open/close for refilling. However, a standard handheld of this size would hold maybe twice the volume of this bottle. The insulated flask is bulky and not easy to manipulate to get the last few oz's from the bottle while running.
Capacity is lower than advertised
This is overall a good handheld. It's light, it conforms to your hand and the elastic retention in the back is superbly designed, making it really easy to hold on to on really long runs. The pocket is HUGE that holds more gels then you'll ever need. However I do have one major and one minor gripe: 1. The capacity is lower than advertised: The Chill flask has a muck thicker insulation layer but retains the same dimension as its non-insulated cousin, therefore the capacity I can get out of it is about .35L, which is about the same size as a small handheld hard bottle. And I have to fill the flask up before putting it into the sleeve to prevent the sleeve from compressing the flask and reducing the capacity even further. 2. The bite valve only works from two orientation, and it cannot be freely rotated on the cap, so I have to rotate my hand to get the bite valve right. Yes this is a really minor gripe and can be easily fixed by adjusting the screw cap, but still an inconvenience none the less.
