I bought this shoe a few days ago; I have been wearing the Cumulus 15's for years and wore then out. Tried on about 4 different types of Asics at the store and this is the one that fit the best and was the most comfy. I wore them running 2 days later and my feet and knees felt so much better. I have been wearing Asics for years and they are my favorite running shoe. I would highly recommend that you buy them from a store where you can try them on, I usually wear an 8.5 but in Asics I wear a 9. For running you want your feet to be happy, make sure to try them on before buying them. Overall, this shoe provides the cushioning I need and is very comfy.
This is my 4th pair of Cumulus and I will NOT buy anything else. Great cushion and comfort for tired, achy feet and fit orthotics very well with no heal slip. Highly recommend as the BEST pair of neutral running shoes on the market.
Went to a specialty running store last year looking for a new pair of running shoes. I tried on several different pairs. My dad was with me and he told me to try to Cumulus (17). He had been wearing them and loved them and figured I would too. So glad I tried them. They are my new favorite shoes! After a year and a half of being used as work shoes, multiple runs, workouts and hikes I decided I needed a new pair (there was nothing wrong with them, other than being worn looking and dirty). I went last night to get the Cumulus 18 and I still love them! Just as comfortable as the first pair. I will never use another running shoe!
I have been running in cumulus shoes for a number of years. My last pair were cumulus 17 and I loved them to death - Asics had got the balance between cushioning and weight bang on. So when they wore out I excitedly brought a new pair of the cumulus 18 but I'm so disappointed - the ride is so hard that I can hardly run in them. After a few miles in the shoes the pain in the balls of my feet builds up to an unbearable level. I don't have this problem in any other shoes and I've tried to persevere but after a number of runs the shoes aren't any better. I am truly disappointed that Asics have changed the shoes so much :(
I read many other reviews on this shoe before ordering it, & most said this shoe runs small, go up in size. I chose to ignore that & go with my instincts, & I'm glad I did. I've always worn a women's size 9 in Asics & that was correct with this shoe, as well. It fits true to size in the length, the only exception, is that it does seem to run a bit narrower, in the front area. I think in time, it will loosen up, but if I'd went with a 9.5 or 10, it would've been too large. This shoe isn't as impressive as some of the other more expensive Asics, in which I have many, but it is attractive & has good cushioning, nice colors.
When I had a case of plantar fasciitis a few years ago, this brand was recommended to me and it has lived up to that recommendation. It has excellent arch and heel support.
I've worn Asics for years as they're truly the only shoe that truly seems to support my knee. MyNimbus18 wore out extremely quickly so thought I'd give these a shot. The support and cushion doesn't even come close. I won't be purchasing these again.
Super comfortable. Glad I upgraded from the Venture 5. WHAT a difference. Very much like the white/ blue/ lilac option. Nice change from the constant neons or darks. This particular shoe definitely runs 1/2 size smaller than other Asics. I have worn Asics exclusively for almost 30 years and over the last 2 years I have had to size up from Womens 10.5 to 11 due to length. This particular pair I had to order in a 11.5 even though my other Asics are 11...I gave the fair rating in fit due to inconsistency between their own shoes. I haven't had them for more than 2 weeks so I can't rate durability.
Thank you asics for making this shoe! I have a narrow heel but regular width forefoot, and have a difficult time with most running shoes as my heels slip right out. Not to mention most companies either do not make a size narrow shoe choice at all, or if they do you get one color choice and it's unfortunately always the least attractive color-way. I'm an 8.5 in regular shoes and buy a 9.5 regular width in the cumulus and they are great. Cups my heel without squeezing the toe box too much. Don't change it asics! If you have a wider or regular width foot try the Nimbus instead for a neutral runner.
I love this shoe. I got the Nimbus 17 and although the comfort was great it rubbed my pinky toe a bit. These have the room I need without all the toe rubbing. Love the color combo. Have had lots of compliments on them.
