Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hit or miss with individuals. While this is my personal favorite hot breakfast, this is my friends 'i'd rather eat dirt' breakfast. The taste and texture aren't like real eggs, my best description would be that this tastes like 'bacon flavored spongey chunks (with a slight hint of egg)'. Judge for yourself. And with most of my freeze dried meals, I like to do taste tests before I go on my adventure. I love these bacon flavored spongey chunks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVED IT! Absolutely delicious! Everyone on the backpacking trip was jealous of the glorious aroma of bacon emitting from my bag. I ate every last bite. Use a bit less water than recommended (maybe three fourth's) and let it sit a few minutes longer. I went with the suggested amount of water and had to pour out significant excess after re-hydrating. This made for a happy drought-stricken tree though.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Scrambled Yuck with "bacon" If you are brave enough to eat these dehydrated eggs, use less water than the recommended amount. I would start with 1/3 cup then work my way towards 1/2 cup. I ended up straining my eggs off which still makes me gag thinking about it. It's not a flat package, it's a mass at the bottom of the bag, so depending on how you pack your food you could either love it or hate it. Maybe because it turned into an over watered soup of eggs with "bacon" I was biased against it from the get go but if it were less watery, I would say maybe it could have been way better if I would have cooked it in a pan after that incident but honestly someone would have to dare me and then I would try it and write another review. Less water for better results. Gave it two stars for flavor, took away three for the experience.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One of My Favorites Mountain House eggs and bacon is one my "go to" breakfast meals. I especially like the pro-pack packaging as it fits nicely in my pack. The eggs and bacon tastes good. Preparation and clean up are easy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Surprised at how good the bacon tasted. I purchased this to use with my MSR Windboiler. The ingredients cook quickly as advertised, but they do not absorb all the water that is called for to cook the contents, so you will have to drain the excess from the pack before you eat. It was surprisingly tasty, and the bacon the most surprising of all. Makes for a quick, tidy, tasty, and no hassle breakfast. Add some veggies (peppers, cherry tomatoes, onions) and it's even better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Simply Atrocious. My four-year-old and I tried this on a recent car camping trip. I was testing meals for another adventure and this was a breakfast option. No can do. We made two bags of it and couldn't eat it, resulting in tossing it and driving to the nearest town for a real breakfast. Avoid at all costs!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Is What It Is It's dried eggs! Can't expect to much. They don't suck, but they aren't incredibly awesome either. They are what they are. I frequently will have these at least one morning while on the trail. I always have to add something to them though. Usually some cheese, or red pepper flakes, or both!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tastes way better than I thought it would This is a little on the salty side (but I don't normally salt my food), but the sodium is not through the roof. I ate the eggs plain and stirred into a pouch of biscuits & gravy which was wonderful. Just before to follow the directions and drain the excess water before eating.
