Works with Hennessy Hammock OK

Bought this to insulate the bottom of my Hennessy Expedition Zip. Tried it out over the Easter weekend in the rain and 2 degree (Celsius) overnight temperatures. Of course I had a heavy sleeping bag, a thermarest, an extra down quilt and a thick down jacket. Slept nice and cozy for three nights. On the first night water got in (had the fly misaligned) and my feet got wet. Water pooled in the underquilt but didn't really seep in. It worked well, I may add some loops to thread the side bungees through. Once you settle down into the hammock it pops into the quilt. I plan to add a couple of carabiners to ease attachment.

Works but, WHY??

Okay guys, this is the first affordable under quilt I've found and utilized it in conjunction with a Big agnes lost ranger 15 with air pad to camp in 0-10 degree weather in comfort. HOWEVER. Any seasoned hammock fan knows you do not sleep centered in the hammock so why, why oh why ENO did you make a SYMMETRICAL under quilt? Its cut to taper at each end, which means that when you push your feet out to one side and your shoulders out the other you expose one, if not both, to the outside extremes... Now that REI is making one that is a much more thoughtful and useful rectangle I will return this for one of theres.

Sleepless nights no more

I initially bought this underquilt for my March trip to the Grand Canyon. It easily strapped onto my backpack and was approximately the same size as my REI Down Sleeping Bag. It was extremely easy to set up, it literally is just clipped onto the hammock clips that attach to the hammock straps. I live in the PNW and actively use this underquilt on hammock trips around here as well. I never take a tent anymore and swear by hammocking. I like to stay very warm at night and I pair this underquilt with my REI Down Sleeping Bag and I have stayed plenty warm through the spring/summer nights and am looking forward to testing it out this fall/winter.

LOVEEEE This Underquilt

Great underquilt. I was super nervous winter camping last weekend, but was pleasantly surprised to sleep warm and peacefully at 20°F. I paired it with the ENO double nest and a mountain warehouse sleeping bag. I also had a ENO ProFly Rain Tarp which kept the snow off me. I would highly recommend!

Great for Fall use

I've done plenty of hammock camping with my ENO, and decided to extend into the Fall Season. Last year I got pretty cold in the Fall months, but this last weekend I went out with the UQ and slept great! I decided to leave the pad out and just try the UQ and I liked it alot better. I could still side sleep with comfort. I found this UQ a greatbuy, and look forward to using it again. Compacts small to take up less space, lightweight, and works great.

Saved my butt for windy an cold outdoors...

I bought this UQ when I found out that it's gonna be a cold, windy and rainy night for our camping in South Jersey last weekend. This item arrived in time and complimented perfectly my hammock set-up. It's is easy to hook up and when the rain and wind kicks up, I don't feel any cold in my back. I paired it up with my REI Flash sleeping bag and couple of layers. The only time I felt the cold is when I hang my feet outside the hammock. It works perfectly... Can't wait to more camping this season...

Allows me to hammock on days I couldn't

I was a little hesitant on buying this product. Since the cost was so inexpensive compared to other underquilts. I've only had one opportunity to use it, since I bought it a couple weeks ago. It was 48 degrees with 5-10 mph winds. I was wearing a shirt and sweats. I stayed more then warm enough. I'm confident that I could overnight in 40 degrees with no sleeping bag and just the underquilt , and be ok. I'm also one of those people that get cold easy.

First time user >> happy hammocker

The eno underquilt worked flawlessly. The weather dropped to 26 degrees and I was toasty warm. I did use an additional layer of fleece as I have never used the product before and I wanted to ensure my comfort. Now that I have this experience, the light weight, easy to pack, comfort of the underquilt, I may never crawl into a tent again. I used it on another camp temps in the low 40s, no additional fleece, and I was toasty warm. Very easy to set up, and pack up. It is well worth the money.

Does what I need

Only used one night with my ENO double nest, but it got down to 36. I used a Kelty 30 degree bag with no pad and the Ember 2. Did not wear any thermals and I would say I was right at the limit. Just a touch cold, but still slept great. Top and bottom were pretty consistent as far as temperature with no cold spots. That is about as cold as I need to go here in Texas, so I am happy. Will try out is slightly warmer weather soon.

Really good value, but dot your i's

Really, really great value for the money.. it worked great, kept me and my sig other warm in 40-50's. However, it seems to be designed specifically for ENO single, maaaybe double, but definitely didn't fit the length of my double hammock. Normally not an issue, since UQ's have a suspensions system that allows for greater adjustability, but this UQ is simplified. Basically, if it fits your hammock, this UQ is a steal!
