Good Headphones with reasonable expectations!

I have had these for a little over a week and have done about 30 miles with them. Mostly road, some trail (don't usually listen to music on trail but wanted to see if they held in place), and some treadmill. This review is based on reasonable expectations, not like those that give 1 star because it doesn't sound like Carnegie Hall. Pairing to my smartphone was super easy (most bluetooth are) and automatically connects when I turn it on now. I do get the occasional slight skip but it's hardly noticeable. Also I have weight lifted about 20-25 feet away from my phone without interruption. Battery life is about 6 hours also as stated. Fit: These come with size 5 and size 7, Yurbuds two most popular sizes, if they don't fit they will send you the right size. Not an issue for me, the size 5 immediately didn't seam right and wobbled out easily. Size 7 fit perfect, were very comfortable, and still haven't fallen out. If it doesn't feel right, you probably have the wrong size. The ear cones easily come off for washing, the buds have gotten pretty wet from sweat and they have done fine. They are very stable during running and weight lifting, other activities I have no idea, but I did shake my head around a lot to see if they would fall out and they did not. Sound: Sounds good to me, bass is reasonable, instruments are not washed out and I can clearly hear what I'm listening to. I listen to everything from rock, blues, metal, dubstep, and classical. They all sound good, perfect no, but very acceptable and the best sound is mid volume, not cranked. The headphones let enough ambient sound in to keep you aware of your surroundings. Irritations: The cord rubbing on your shirt can send some feedback to your ears, think a slight scratching sound. Doesn't really bother me and I barely notice it all. A hooded sweat shirt will knock these around pretty good when the hood is down. Other than that I have had no other issues with glasses, hats, clothing. Cord hasn't caused irritation when I have been shirtless. I haven't taken phone calls with these. I also use the volume rocker on my phone for sound control. The headphone controls, a small bar on the right side just below the ear bud, seams to be in an awkward spot to easily grab and control. Since I really only use it to power them on and off though I can't really give a good opinion on this portion.

Wireless Yurbuds

I have used and liked Yurbud wired headphones for years so when I decided to purchase wireless of course I went with what I knew. One of the big pros for wired Yurbuds is that they do stay in my ears really well and rarely come loose or out. With these though the ear pieces are a bit bulky because of the wireless pieces and they do cause them to shift and move quite a bit on runs. The battery was initially pretty good but after about 6 months it needs charged after every run. Finally, the power/volume button can be difficult to press at the correct place to turn it on or off. Still have mine but these cons have be back to and very happy with my wired Yurbuds

Uncomfortable

I have a great deal of respect for JBL so my expectations were quite high. Unfortunately, these are so uncomfortable I cannot really appreciate the sound quality. I'm an amateur sound engineer so sound quality is extremely important to me. The biggest problem I have is that, as a woman, I have a lot of hair which interferes with the cord and I can't keep the buds in my ears. Are there differences between men's and women's ears? I'm wondering if these are specific to men. I also wear glasses and earrings and sometimes headbands to keep my hair back so there is a perfect storm around my ears. I'm inclined to return them but the jury is still out.

Not worth the money

These headphones suck. They will not stay in my ears. I have tried all the different sizes of ear plugs that it comes with and none of them stay. As soon as I start sweating, they just slide right out of my ears. The sound quality is decent but they don't block out outside noise so I have to blast my music in order to here it whenever there is any outside noise or wind while running. The battery life is pretty decent for something as small as these, so that's a plus. But the on/off switch is a pain in the butt sometimes because it has a very small sweet spot to actually work. I would not buy these again and I should have returned them when I had the chance.

Oh well, I tried.

Saw these in the store when I was picking up a race bib today. Was excited to get them home, charge them, and try them out. Unfortunately, even after a full initial charge, they wouldn't even turn on so that I could pair them. Plugged them in again, just to make sure that they were fully charged, and again, nothing. Back in the box, back to the store, and I will ask for my money back. They wouldn't go into pairing mode while holding the so-called center button down for any amount of time. No light or sound at all. Just the solid green while charging. Not sure how this happens, but it sure was a waste of my time and effort.

can't complain

I bought these October 2014. I used them primarily for strength training so not much erratic movement. Sound was great. Don't buy into the six hour battery life. I could work out for 2 hours on a full charge, and I'll get the "battery low" message toward the end. Lately, it has been worse, and now I think they have finally hit the dust because it will light green like it is charging, but will not turn on. Absolutely loved them while they worked, but would not recommend for a hike or longer ventures. Changing songs and pausing does kill the battery, but you would expect them to last a bit longer than 1.5 hours.

When they work, they are great...

Unfortunately they only seem to work for about 3-4 months before they completely stop functioning. I originally purchased the Inspire Limited Edition model that had a lifetime warranty from Yurbuds. They worked for a few months and I sent them in for a replacement. After the second set failed they sent me the LEAP to replace which have a one year warranty. They said that since they were purchased by JBL/Harmon they were not offering the lifetime warranty anymore. Predictably, the LEAP failed within a few months and I am waiting for a replacement LEAP. I guess I am just out of luck on the warranty going forward.

Bulky, but so far good quality!

Got a pair of these during a college campus event and I'm surprised with how well they work! The bluetooth connects well with both my phone and my laptop, the cord is a little stiff so they don't tangle, my only problem is that I have small ears, so they don't "lock in place" like they should, and they poke out quite a bit more then I expected them too. However, being abnormally small in stature could be the cause of this rather then the buds themselves. So far the buttons work as intended and the cord hasn't frayed, overall I'd recommend them to someone who wouldn't mind the large design.

Love/Hate Relationship

I've had this product for 4 months and I haven't had the battery issues nor the problems with turning on and off. Frankly, the functionality on these works well for me. The speaker works great when answering the phone during a workout and compatibility with my phone made them easy to use. All that said, the wire that connects the 2 ear buds is incredibly stiff and any time it bumps on my hair or the back of my shirt (the cord is so long it hits at my shoulder blades) the ear buds pop out of my ears. Even sitting at my desk, turning my head causes them to fall out. If JBL can find a solution to this problem I'd give them 5 stars. But for now, I can't get them to stay in my ears so I have to give a low rating.

Perfect when it fits

This was an exchange from the company because the pair I bought in the store was too big for my ear. I contacted the company and they exchanged those for the women size. It fits perfect for my small ear and the sound is great. Thank You
