Useless for exercise.
Absolute garbage. Can’t use them in rain, in fog, or if I sweat; any amount of moisture on the buds cause the volume to go all the way up or all the way down, or to get stuck bouncing up and down. Sometimes the batteries just don’t hold a charge, or lose the charge after 5 minutes. Kept thinking they would get better (I don’t know what’s wrong with me) - of course they did not. Also beware that REI has a new and not well-disclosed return policy for electronics - 90 days instead of a year. As a member for 20+ years, that change eluded me and now I’m stuck with a $120 pair of useless tech. Deeply disappointed in both Shokz and REI.
Annoying bluetooth
I've used these pretty regularly for a few months. I like the sound quality and open-ear design, and the battery life has been great. They don't move or fall out when I run, and I prefer the separate earpieces so they don't get stuck in my hair or layers. I haven't had problems with sweat and easy to tap to change the song. I've had a minor issue where the left speaker doesn't immediately work when I put both in, but if I put it back in the case and immediately retry it always fixes. BUT the connectivity is super annoying. The lack of physical buttons means it is hard to remember how to connect to new devices and switch between them (I have to google it every time), and it stays connected to my phone or garmin even when closed in the case, which drives me crazy.
Not wroth any price
Will not disconnect from Bluetooth. If you manually discount they reconnect on their own. When you go to use them they are dead. Do not buy
OK...but maybe not for small ears?
Bought these after accidently loosing my bone conduction Shokz Open Run Mini. They were a little cheaper than replacing and I like that these have the charging case with a USB c charging plug, rather than the Open Run with the weird magnetic charging cable (meaning I need to carry yet another cord). I like the OpenFit Air but was and still am worried about these on my small ears. The left fits ok, but I guess my right ear is shaped a bit different. It doesn't fit super well on the right ear and in order for it to feel like they won't fall off, I position it in a way that after a while, it starts to hurt my right ear. To their credit...they have not fallen off after a week of using them (run/walking, office work, and riding a bike)...but I may still return them and maybe purchase a refurbished Open Run pair directly from Shokz so it's not as expensive.
Great sound and they do not fall off
I really enjoy having these OpenFit headphones as they allow for me to hear my surrounds while holding great sound when i trail run. They also stay on my ears no matter how hard i sweat. However, i do not recommend them for biking as they are quite sensitive to touch and when my helmet straps touch them when i am sweating they cause them to hit pause or increase the volume inadvertently.
Not worth the price tag
Soft volume, much cheaper alternatives with better sound. Touch controls hardly work
