I wanted them to be amazing but. . . .
I really wanted these to be the most amazing headphones ever. The sound quality is absolutely incredible — truly one of the best parts about them. That said, they just don’t work well for me personally. I have very small ears, and the portion that sits in/near the ear feels a bit too big and doesn’t stay in place. The back also gets bumped pretty easily while I’m wearing them, which is distracting, and overall they feel heavier than expected. I’ve also had some issues with them disconnecting when not in use. If you don’t have tiny ears, these might be fantastic because the audio itself is amazing — but unfortunately, the fit and comfort just aren’t right for me.
Christmas Gift
I purchase the Pink Open Dots as a Christmas Gift for my daughter. I one of the best purchases I’ve made. She absolutely loves them from the sounds, light fit and easy to wear. She uses them for the gym, at home and her runs. Thank you Shokz
Best Shokz EVER!
I've been using Shokz for over 10 years, from Aeropex to OpenRun to OpenFit. The OpenDots are by far the best you've come out with for running. They're so light, you don't even feel them, yet they're secure. I ran a 50k trail race in them and they were great. And the sound is the best of all your products. Very easy to use and good battery life.
Amazing but
I absolutely love these headphones! But I have the same issue with these that I had with the last pair of shocks I bought. They randomly connect to my cell phone, even when in the charging case. I had them in my backpack overnight near my phone, so they were connected the whole light unbeknownst to me. When I arrived to the gym the next morning, they were completely dead, as were my previous pair. This is quite possibly the most frustrating part of owning this brand of headphone. If they could fix this one hiccup they would be the perfect pair of headphones. Other than this, they fit great, they sound and they are incredibly convenient. Love them.
Great! Just needs a few firmware adjustments
These are great! I previously had the Bose Open Ear Ultra Headphones, which are very similar. People say I sound more clear on phone calls with the Shokz. They are also much louder than the Bose, which is really important for me during workouts. As someone with small ears, they are slightly large, but not to the extent that the headphones are uncomfortable to wear. The sound quality could be slightly improved for a more "immersive" feel, and I would like to have more options for the control features. I would also prefer buttons over touch features. Otherwise, I love these! You can wear them with sunglasses with no issues!
Lost one getting in an uber
Lost the right on the first night I used them. . . . . . getting in an uber. . . . .

Not compatible with long hair
These are not as comfortable as my old Aftershokz bone conducting headphones. Those had some comfort issues, as well, but these are worse. They irritate the backs of my ears. It IS nice that they don't wrap around the back of my head and get tangled in my hair. However, I had to turn off the touch controls. My hair would "tap" and activate the controls as it moved (it's long and curly). So I can't take advantage of one of the ways to interface with the product. I also prefer the sound quality and better ability to hear ambient noise available in the bone conducting headphones over these.
Awesome earbuds.
The most awesome earbuds out on the market, clarity is awesome when communicating on the phone. It really shines when your listening to music. Very light on the ears doesn't feel like you have anything on your ears. . cons. It should fit right ontop of the opening on your ears. But overall it's an awesome product.
Just buy them
These ear buds are great for any sport activity(not sure about water) or no activity. I like the unobtrusive form factor and I enjoy that they are not inside my ear canal. Previously I have experienced pain with buds that fit into my ear canal or the clamshell types that go over the whole ear. These are the first buds I have owned where I do not experience pain or discomfort. I appreciate that they are not sound canceling because I want to have situational awareness of my surroundings. The built in microphone works well for phone conversations and does cancel ambient noise for the listener. I like the small case and the excellent battery life. They are exactly what I wanted without anything I didn't.
