Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small, roomy, glowy little home for the win. I bought this tent on a Sunday, and took it bike camping on Wednesday. This is the smallest, lightest tent I've ever owned, and after my first test, I love it. I camped at a state park in the Columbia River Gorge, and we had an incredible downpour of rain overnight. I woke up in the middle of it, shocked by how loud the rain was slapping on the fly above me. I felt all around the interior edges of the tent, and everything was dry, as well as I. Some moisture beaded up on the interior mesh of the tent, but it wasn't dripping down on me. I stayed warm and happy the whole night through. One of my friends said he got up in the night and there was actually a pool of water around my tent. I'm thoroughly pleased with it's water-fastness. Practicalities: I'm ~5'9". Length of the tent is perfect. If I were 6' or taller, I might not be happy in it. I can sit cross-legged in the tent and my head just barely brushes the ceiling. Top cross-beam really opens up the interior of the tent. Plenty of arm room for moving around. Tent is free standing, though if you want the rain fly to be useful, you'll need to be able to stake it out. The LEDs are very cool. Enough light to read by, and it makes things really cozy. Battery pack separates easily. I wonder how the cord on the pack will stand up to wear. I recommend not packing the tent with the battery pack still inside it. Packing it separately can prevent stress on the cable. (It comes with its own tiny little stuff sack). Setup was quick and easy. Adjusting the rainfly to get it taut took a little more time. They only included 8 stakes, but you need ten if you also want to tension the two mid-height guy lines on the head-end of the tent. Side entry was great, and the vestibule is roomy, easy to access from within the tent, and kept my bags dry during the storm. I used the BA footprint with the tent. Glad I bought it. The fabric is very thin, I think the footprint will help with longevity. Very happy with the tent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tent Love this tent! have probably taken it on around 400-500 miles of trail so far and it stands up to 30-35 mph wind, pouring rain for a few days, and is one of the lightest tents I ever owned, with the benefit of the light system on the inside. The only issue I have is the wiring on the light system is messed up so I have to exchange it for a new one, so just be careful with that feature while packing it up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Light, sturdy, sets up, breaks down and packs easily and full of great features. I am a big fan of this tent. Its weight and size make it the perfect backpacking text without sacrificing normal amenities or its ability to repel water. The lights are a cool feature in that I can read in my tent after sunset without killing my headlamp batteries. Big Agnes hit it out of the park with this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best tent I have owned I've been using the same tent for the past 10+ years. I've been eyeballing this tent for quite some time, and I've decided to get it to take with me on a 1 year backpacking trip I am going on. So, I purchased this tent Saturday, and took it out to West Texas that night for some sky watching/nighttime photography. I had to set this tent up using mostly moon-light. It was a breeze. The rain-fly and footprint are both fool-proof in set up. It also drizzled over night, and there was absolutely no sign of it until I open the tent. The LED lights are bright enough for whatever you require them for. Reading will require no strain on the eyes. Basically, I have absolutely no second-guesses about this purchase, and I would recommend it to anyone who is considering buying the Rattlesnake SL 1. You will not be disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tent except for one thing... I bought this tent to take on a bike tour of the Oregon and N. California Cascade Mtns (1000 miles). The tent worked great - one day it dumped buckets of rain yet the inside stayed warm and dry. Easy to set up and take down. Really like the feature that the front clips and back clips for the tent fly are color-coded to match the tent. With my old tent I was always getting the fly put on the wrong way and the color-coding prevents this. LED Lights worked great. However the little battery pack with USB connection is not powerful enough to charge neither my iPhone 6 nor my iPod. I was excited to have this be a back-up power source for charging but does not work for those 2 devices hence a 4-star rather than 5-star review.
