Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not much too say except awesome. I hammock camp when I backpack every time, spring, summer, fall, winter. I used eno for years and they started to get cheap on their gear. I scored a kammok roo and fell in love, longer, wider and more durable than other hammocks I have come across. I used the eno pro fly for a while for shelter because $230 for a rainfly was crazy to me at the time but the pro fly is straight up too short for the roo. I manned up and finally bought the glider a few months ago and I will say, every cent was well spent. Water retaining system in all 4 corners of the rainfly, amphibiskin fabric keeps you protected from heat, rain or snow. Packed up it is the same size and weight as other hammock shelters but out of the stuff sack and strung up it is huge. We went out near the App trail for a 3 day backpacking trip and the first night it saved me from the rain and i was able to sleep comfortably with no issues and no worries of getting wet. The second night it was clear skies but the wind was killer so I strung it up that night and it worked like a champ blocking the wind because the sides come down further than other hammock rainflys. You get what you pay for, for sure, kammok has sold me all together and I won't go back to any other hammock products. If you want a high quality and lightweight shelter for any type of adventure, look into the kammok glider and check out their other products. They won't let you down because they believe in the adventure and want to make good quality stuff so you can enjoy your adventure. Hope this helps you guys, cheers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dry and Warm My first time using this product was on a night that I knew there was gonna be some rain. Me and my girlfriend shared a hammock and slept under the gilder. We woke up to a couple inches of snow and were completely dry and warm. We sat under it to cook and pack to stay dry. Very useful product, I will be using it a lot more this year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Camping in the Rain I went on a camping/backpacking trip to the Sam Houston National Forest for spring break weekend. The hammock hang started off great with a nice little camp fire, s'mores and stories. The rain set in Friday night and other than a small break early Saturday morning pretty much rain all day and night Saturday. I woke up to a thunder storm Sunday morning. It was really cool to lay in my Roo as I watched and listed to the thunderstorm. Thanks to the glider I stayed nice and dry in my hammock all weekend. So despite all the rain we still managed to make a good camping trip out of the weekend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My work brings me into My work brings me into the mountains very often. I am excited to add it to my quiver of gear. Looking forward to using the "rain collecting" aspect of my glider next spring, and the reflective under belly of my glider this winter. For years and years I have utilized a tent, but have now converted to my KAMMOK SYSTEM.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from worth every dollare I bought this a few months and was the best decision ever. The glider it selfs feels thin but is really strong and also the line locks make setting up a breeze.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome I bought the Glider, Roo, Python straps, and Dragonfly. Everything is to the exact standards that they claim with a few extra little design features that make them even better. The roo is one of the most comfy materials I have come in contact with that is also super compressible and lightweight. I was not disappointed in the least. Thank you kammok for introducing true quality in your designs and products. Also the trucker hat is a great add on to your kammok gear.

Is it possible to fit two Roo's underneath the fly?

Asked by: Tony Bill
We do not recommend using more than one Roo hammock at a time for the Glider shelter.

I have to ask... why so much more than a decent tent with a rainfly? More than the hammock itself? It's a tent without sides, zippers, storage compartments, floor, nets, vestibules.

Asked by: Kevind
The Glider Hammock Shelter measures 108 x 96 inches and is much bigger than most rainflys on a traditional backpacking tent. Kammock also used their Proprietary Amphibiskin nylon for increased durability.

I am looking some of the pictures (with the Roo inside of the Glider) the edges of the Roo looks very close to the edge of the Glider. I'm just wondering, if the Glider keeps the Roo & occupants dry in heavy downpours and in blowing rain/snow?

Asked by: BlueAngel
The Glider Hammock Shelter does keep the occupants of the Roo dry in rain/snow. The closer the hammock is to the Glider, the more protection the Glider will offer. If there is a lot of space between the Glider and the Roo, rain and snow could get in the Roo from the side of the Glider.

Asked by: OpsreyFan
The Glider includes ridgeline cords and does not require the additional purchase of Python Straps.
