Rated 5 out of 5 by from fantastic product I bought one of these in 2012. I used it everyday up until Christmas this year when I purchased another. I have kept my original one as a back up. You can drop them kick them in fact abuse them anyway you want and when your worn out take the lid off and pour yourself a HOT drink! I would recommend these to anyone and in fact several of my workmates were so impressed with mine that they have now purchased their own. Initially they are a bit expensive for a vacuum flask (I won't call it a thermos because that wouldn't do them justice) but they last forever and are more of an investment than a mere purchase. Don't think about buying one........JUST DO IT!!!!! You won't regret it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it. Bought one of these about a year ago, use it everyday. I noticed some reviewers complaining that the cap leaks...I had this issue as well for a few months, cap wouldn't thread properly or tighten, and it would leak. Realized I had the gasket mounted wrong, and now it works awesome. For reference, the open part of the gasket should face down into the bottle. Now the cap goes on tight and no leaks, hot coffee. A couple weeks ago I left this on the back of my truck and drove away, realized a few minutes later and drove back to find it on the road. Small dent on the cup, barely noticeable. Great product. Perfect size for a standard size french press of coffee minus a mug in the morning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great! My wife bought this for me as a Christmas gift in 2014. I use it every day from November - May when I'm in the field for work. It keeps my tea hot all day long. I forgot to drink the tea one day and emptied the bottle at home at 9 pm, after 15 hours in the bottle the tea was still hot, not warm but hot. It has taken a beating and still works great. I won't go into the field without it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Problems with Stopper Unlike most reviewers of contemporary Stanley thermoses, my 16 oz model (in red, purchased from West Elm) does a pretty good job of keeping my hot liquids hot. That is, if I can manage to screw in the stopper effectively. The stopper of my vacuum bottle actively resists sitting correctly - preferring to screw in at a jaunty angle almost ensuring leaks and loss of heat. If I do manage to screw it in flush to the bottle's lip, there is a very narrow window of "perfectly sealed" before the stopper pops free of its threads and must be screwed in again. I'm not sure what could be the cause.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for 12 hour shifts at the ER My thermos keeps my coffee hot from 5 pm until the early morning hours when it's almost time to leave work. Also, for those having problems with their stopper sitting flush, remove the rubber gasket and put it back on upside down (so that the open portion of the gasket faces towards the coffee). Your stopper will now sit flush. I just figured this out after months of having that problem. Also, that is a brand new gasket that Stanley replaced for me for FREE after I lost mine while cleaning the top in a rush. Best customer service out there

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Everyday Essential My girlfriend gave me this thermos for Christmas and needless to say I had no idea what I was going to do with it. I decided to give it a shot though, and I don't regret it in the least. Since then, everyday I have filled the thermos with ice water as I leave the house, and when I get to work I drink chilled water for the entire day. I refill the cup about four times a day. The best part is, the ice lasts a full day! I fill the cup with ice once and then I have cool water for the rest of the day! I LOVE THIS CUP!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Will keep hot beverages hot I did a simple test. In the morning, I filled it with hot (scalding but not boiling) tap water, let sit 5 minutes to preheat it. Poured water out, refilled with hot tap water, and closed it up. Let it sit all day, 12 hours. Got home, the outside of the container was cool. I opened it, and the liquid inside was now hot. Not luke warm, not scalding, just hot - I could pour it over my hand, but much hotter than that would have been uncomfortable. Works as advertised, very durable container. Way too heavy for backpacking, but great for emergency supplies (not having to boil water multiple times a day would be useful), picnics, car camping, taking hot beverages with you, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lasts a long time I bought my 16oz Stanley vacuum bottle in 1976 and still use it (Aladdin Stanley at the time). Over the years, the interior of the cap developed a crack in its sidewall. (A replacement was easy to find and fit perfectly.) Paint is wearing off surfaces from rubbing. (Giving the bottle a well-worn patina.) The interior stainless steel is as perfect and flawless as when it was new, and it still keeps beverages hot or cold. The only downside is that it cannot be used while driving.
