Smelly Proof  Reusable 2-Gallon Storage Bags Variety Pack - Set of 3

I tested these Smelly Proof reusable bags on a 3-day AT Backpacking trip this past weekend. We camped in both a hammock, tent and AT shelter. Like most of the AT, this section is a heavy bear, racoon, opossum, and mouse area. Normally, I hang bear bags but to really test these Smelly Proof reusable bags, we left all of our trailmix, peanuts, protein bars, and other snacks sealed in the Smelly Proof bags "out in the open" totally exposed to wildlife. The first night we were visited by a racoon who knocked over a couple of our water bottles and went through our trash that we had left in a cheap plastic bag but the Smelly Proof bags remained untouched. The next two nights we camped in AT shelters. Bravely, we left all of our food & snacks in the Smelly Proof bags on top of the picnic table all night. Every AT shelter has mice, in fact, that night a mouse ran across my chest around midnight. The next morning the food in the Smelly Proof bags again, remained untouched. In all, I was super impressed with the performance and durability of the Smelly Proof bags. Not only did they remain untouched by the wildlife that visited us over 3 nights, they stood up the abuse of being stuffed and yanked out of backpacks. 5-stars for performance and durability! I'll leave my heavy bear canister in storage and use Smelly Proof bags from now on.

I highly recommend this product. I am located in North Georgia and I recently used on a 5 day/4 night AT section hike. They are super tough and versatile. Stored ground sheet and stakes in the black bag protecting my gear from the dirt that accumulates on these items, I even sat on this item while eating. Used the clear bag to store dirty clothes in my stuff sack pillow and it keeps the odor contained. I also sored my food trash in another clear bag. As a long distance hiker I love multifunctional and light items that can survive heavy and usage and I definately will be using on my future PCT thru hike and section hiking on the AT.

Unfortunately I was not able to goi out camping with this product since the weather changed and got cold but I did bring it out to the Crags and tested it at home. I think this is an amazing product. There has really not been any innovations in this department and these are a game changer. Not only are they super sturdy to hold all your trash including heavier items but they are reusable. While I at first thought it was maybe a little gross to wash a trash container, once you empty it, its painless and you are doing a great service to our environment. I love the ones that stand, another innovation! And the black one is the best. You cant see your disgusting trash!

I like how easy the seals are to line up. The size is perfect for a weekend size backpack for cloths. I like the black bag to place personal items that I would not want everyone in camp to see. The labeling on the bag saying heavy duty and reusable storage is nice to see in the large print. I would know what these were in a storage area loose and not in a box.

My Smelly Bags served their purpose perfectly. I filled a couple of the clear 2 gallon bags with clothing and other items that I wanted to protect and keep dry while on a scuba diving excursion. I had other divers handing me clothes and wallets when they saw what I was doing. When I returned their items everything was still in great shape. I love that Smelly Bags are BPA free and made in the USA. The clear bags made it easy for me to locate my items and, wow, are they tough! Much better than regular ziplock bags. My bags got thrown around with my scuba equipment and even tossed under a bench on the dive boat and they are still in fantastic shape. The ziplock top stayed tightly closed despite all the activity. These will be a permanent part of my scuba trips and I can't wait to try the other sizes in my kitchen.

The bags are great. Heavy duty with a great zipper for keeping contents in bag. I used the bags for clothes on a recent backpack trip. I only received 2 gallon bags, so too big for food items. Definitely would like to try smaller size for snacks and toiletries.

Great reusable bags. The bags are durable and thick. Large enough to keeping all the sport snacks together and not making the room or car smell like what’s in the bag. Looking forward to using them in the wild. Will definitely get more.

These are the ziplocks I've been looking for. The sealing is positive and the bags are practically puncture proof. The flat bag held three large trout, the acordian bag held all our food bags and the blacked out bag held my stanky under wear and socks so that nobody could see or smell them. The material was super resistant to abuse and folding wrinkles and the seal worked perfectly every time. NO LEAKAGE, BIG ++++. I've got to get my phone working to show pictures of this. I'm going to be picking up more of the large bags for a kyaking trip out to the Islands next summer.

These bags are hard to distinguish from a common Zip-Lock bag. The only real difference is that they seem a bit thicker. I guess that means they would last a bit longer than a Zip-Lock and that is why I gave it four stars. The downside is that it isn't as compactable as the thinner Zip-Locks I usually use. The one with the pleated bottom is my favorite because it will stand up without any additional support. This makes it easier to add loose contents to it. I'm using the non-pleated ones for storing things like my toothbrush, misc. toiletries, and medications.

Very effective at keeping the smell in. I bought these for the purpose of carrying out human waste on backpacking trips - when a bag of poo is placed inside and the smelly proof bag is sealed, there is next to no smell that escapes. Very effective for the desired purpose! Highly recommend.
