Good hardware, needed modification

Good product overall. Easy to set up. The problem is that there is only one hole for the bolt that attaches the stinger to the tow hitch. The one hole is at the very tip of the stinger, which in my case (2013 Subaru Crosstrek with dealer-installed 1.25" tow hitch) causes the bike rack to stick way out of the hitch receiver, just dangling out of there. So I had to take the bike rack to a machinist to have another hole drilled/tapped, and now everything is perfect. I really like the design of this Thule otherwise, so I didn't want to go with a different rack. Thule just needs to correct this one design flaw and it'll be perfect.

A tip or two

Used this to carry our 2 slightly heavy Trek hybrids; went 2000 miles recently and worked ok, except for one hitch (pardon the pun). One bike has fenders and the drag on the bike at high speed worked the frame off the cradle. I used a bungee and tie-down and all was well. The Tip: if you are concerned about the anchoring of the stinger into the hitch, as I was after an initial road test (the bolt eased out), get a longer bolt (12mm X 80mm, available at hardware stores), and anchor it with a nut and a heavier duty lock washer. Zero easing out of the bolt. This is far more effective and less expensive than buying the Thule gadget that locks the stinger into the hitch.

Excellent bike rack

I´m 100% happy about this purchase as its exactly what I was looking for. Great design, not bulky, easy to install, fits 2 bikes perfectly and it only takes about 10 secs to put a bike on and off. I´m using it everyday and I am very pleased with the quality.

bike hithc

This rack was very easy to mount to my Jeep's hitch. But my Giant Trance Mountain bike's frame is too small for the width of the mounting bars. I have to manipulate it to fit in the rack, I worry that I am causing unnecessary wear on my brake line. I think that you need to check your frame's compatibility with this rack before purchasing, otherwise, it is a very good rack.

Great while it lasted

I was very satisfied with design and functionality. I unfortunately had to return it, but only because I use the lift gate a lot and had to keep removing the rack for access. My vehicle makes it tough to get to gear otherwise. I switched to a Thule roof rack instead

Excellent, minimalist design

Because my spare tire is mounted on the back of my vehicle, above the trailer hitch, I had to buy a hitch extension in order for the rack to fit my RV. Bikes are in contact with each other, so expect some blemishes and scratches.

Very Sturdy

Considering the reasonable price, I expected a product of lesser quality. I was pleasantly surprised with the workmanship and durability of this product.

Very sturdy

Very reliable rack, easy to install. One thing i'd add that we have on our other car with a Yakima - a ring of some sort to loop a bike lock through.

Stable and easy to use

I use this rack to transport both my bike and my wife's bike. We have hybrid bikes and they fit great on this rack. Everything was very secure and the only time the bikes rocked was when the whole car rocked.

Solid Rack

Got this rack about a month ago, so far it's been very solid. It was easy to set up, comes with mounts for both hitch sizes, and is straight forward to use. The bikes mount in very easily and securely.
