Amazing!
I didn't realize how great these gloves where until the snow started coming in waves this winter. They're fine for getting around town and hiking etc., but they really shine when you need dexterity in adverse weather. I wore the gloves to shovel the snow off my driveway and they kept my fingers warm and dry, protected my hands from chafing, and allowed me to just wipe off a foot of snow off my car. The snow just brushed right off the silky exterior of the glove. And the fleece cuff was super-comfortable while preventing the snow from going up my sleeve. A friend borrowed them to build and igloo and commented on how great they were too.
Pretty dang awesome
I am always on the lookout for great gloves. I compete in endurance rides. (Horseback) We tend to ride in extreme heat/cold, hence “endurance”. I had hopes for these gloves for some cold weather riding and was not disappointed! They served me well, are warmer than I expected and I still have a decent amount of dexterity while wearing them. That is usually one of the biggest problems I have. While riding, I need to keep my hands warm and be able to adjust tack, work zippers, etc. I put warmers in these while getting ready to start my ride in the wee hours, then put them on right before leaving and they are nice and toasty and stay that way. I am happier with these than any I have found so far. I will be picking up at least 1 more pair.
Great for multiple uses
I bought these for my wife and she loves them. She was tired of using bulky gloves on cold and dry days while skiing. Although these gloves were not designed specifically for alpine skiing, they work really well and keep her hands warm. Probably not ideal if it is really wet out, but here, the Rockies, the weather is more often cold and dry than damp and snowy. She says she will use them when we go car camping and backpacking in the summer, where I am sure they will work well.
Good for winter biking
I bought these last year for winter biking in Minnesota winters and I like them quite a bit. With these, I can ride down into the mid-high 20s F without pogies. If it is colder than mid 20s, I need pogies. With any bulkier gloves, these included, you lose a bit of the finer touch sensitivity, but I notice it less with these than other gloves I've used.
I love these gloves
I had been looking for the perfect glove for years. I needed something that would keep my hands warm, and still be nimble enough to use cross-country skiing. This has been the perfect glove.
A great investment
These are totally worth it! This is the first winter I've shelled out for good winter gloves and I can't recommend them enough. I agree with the other reviews in terms of weight and wear-ability. Great, great, great! The best part is the fleece cuff which keeps out the wind and snow.
Small for me
I have petite hands, using the size chart, measured, ordered medium. I definitely could size up. It doesn't get TOO cold here walking in Seattle; the 40s are my chill days for walking. These should keep me warm. Next time I'd order medium and large and return what doesn't work. Maybe these were just off in sizing.
Perfectly warm
Hiked Mt Whitney in early Nov before snow began but I knew it would be cold. These kept my hands toasty all day while hiking and night while camping. I threw them in the washing machine on return home but in a net bag and they came out clean as far as I can tell. Air dried them and they’re good as new.
Very nice!
Love the wrist cuffs, they block out the wind and cold. Love the inner lining, and wind stop outer. My hands still get cold if I don't move them, but clenching my hands as I walk generates enough heat to stay warm inside the layers.
Not warm enough
It’s nice gloves, well made but when is 10 or bellow choose another glove
