Best Running / Hiking Gloves I've Owned
I live in the PNW and I get cold hands a lot from October-April. I've tried a lot of gloves, and mittens and some are good, but most either soak through or my fingers eventually get cold. These gloves are one of two (the other being the CAMP G Air Gloves) that manage to keep my fingers warm from beginning to end. Those are a different beast though, and are more alpine oriented. Now on to what this review is about; the vortex gloves are my favorite gloves I've owned. They are convertible mittens where the shell keeps out wind and rain, and provide maybe an extra 5 degrees of warmth. The mittens tuck back into the coller, which gets a little puffy, but really isn't noticeable. The fingers fit well, and the gloves are easy to put on and take off. Maybe the only nitpick is that they don't work well when trying to use a touchscreen. Would I recommend these to friends? Yes; actually I'd buy them as a gift.
Warm & functional
So far, these have been great gloves for running on snowy, windy days. They keep my hands & fingers toasty. I can get gels & other items out of my running vest & push buttons on my Coros. I use on short & long runs. I run outside when windchill is below 15, so I can’t attests to how they would do for that!
Super high quality product at a greta price.
Really high quality product with great features like attached but separable gloves and shell, a snap to connect the pair, reflective trim, and good cold protection. For the price, this is a great glove. My only slight complaint is that the fingers are very long and thus bunch a bit without adjustment. Would recommend for a variety of uses - just not a perfect fit for my hand.
Warm but didn’t like cover material
Warm gloves, but I wipe my eyes often and don’t like the cover material, too rough.
