small and fabulous - perfect for a small woman!

I am a woman and bought two pairs of these (in 2 colors) about 3 years ago. They are lightweight (do not cause headaches) and wrap around the sides of my face well, effectively blocking the light - they are stylish enough to wear daily but technical enough for a vigorous run or an excursion on the water. I'm buying my 3rd pair today in case Native stops making them - I love them that much. The caveat - they are super tiny. I have a such a narrow face that I have trouble finding any sunglasses at all. I often have to buy children's glasses to fit my face, but these are perfect. Only a man with a very, very small head (or incredibly narrow face?) would fit these.

Fits small faces

I bet these would have been nice glasses, but they are so small I was shocked! If you are going to buy these online without trying them on in-store, I don't recommend it. I have tried on Native sunglasses for "medium faces" before, and these did not fit that bill. Even out of the package, I immediately checked the label wondering if I had accidentally purchased child glasses on accident. I love Natives and, especially their replacement policy, but I think they have mislabeled this sizing for these sunglasses. A disappointment moreover because they are on the lower end of the price range.

My throttle's refuse to die

I wear these for everything. I bought a cycling specific pair of shades but end up wearing these more than anything. They have good peripheral visibility. The lenses have held up well, a few scratches but nothing major to warrant replacement. I've owned these for at least 4 years and would definitely buy these again. If I had to be nitpicky, the rubber nose bridge pieces have come off a few times while pulling them out of a bag, shirt pocket etc. but I always seem to be lucky and find them. Highly recommended brand, best sunglasses I've ever owned and Ive had a lot of brands that cost twice as much.

Good for just about any activity

I purchased these about 9 months ago when I was looking for an all purpose pair of sunglasses that didn't look too techy or sporty. The Throttles definitely fit the bill. I wear them hiking, biking, camping, backpacking, driving; you name it. They are durable, easy to clean and you can't beat the lifetime guarantee on both lenses and frame. The polarized lenses are great, ventilation precludes any fogging up and they are so lightweight I almost forget I'm wearing them. Best pair of sunglasses I've ever owned.

Great sunglasses - Love Natives

I use these daily when I commute and for all sorts of outdoor activities. The polarization is great, the nose pads help the sunglasses fit well on those of us that lack a signficant nose bridge. This is my second pair of Native sunglasses and I would definately recommend them. They're lightweight and the styling is athletic. If you're into big designer glasses that can cover your eyes and cheecks or if your idea of outdoors is an outdoor shopping mall, these aren't your sunglasses!

I would buy this product again.

I wear these sunglasses every where I go, I work outside in all conditions and they are great, I had a pair of gray lens/polorized, They got a little scratched up with my work so I traded them in because of Natives lifetime guarantee, and my REI membership. Got the amber lens this time, really lightens up low light situations, and also shades during high light situations. Good pair of glasses, will continue to buy Natives, gave up on Oakley, Spy, and Dragons.

Native Throttle and Ripp Fan!

I have had a few pairs of Native Throttle and RIpp models, and they not only fit well and comfortably, but way outlasted the other brands I have owned. I subjected mine to salt water and careless handling and PFD Vest pockets, and the lenses held up extremely well. I now use a lanyard, as I don't wanna lose my newest pair! [...]. If you boat, consider getting the floating lanyard from REI.

Blue Reflex comes off

I liked them until the "Blue Reflex" started rubbing off. They are only about 3-4 months old and they have not been abused any worse than any other pair off sunglasses that I had. If you get these, skip the coating.

Greatest sunglasses ever!

These are the best and only sunglasses that I've ever owned that actually fit my very narrow face. I bought a second pair the following year, but alas, they have since been discontinued and it's not longer possible to purchase replacement nose pads, which are the only thing that has not held up over time. It's rare to find such high quality sunglasses that are both polarized and have UV protection for such a reasonable price (under $100). So wish manufacturers would not feel compelled to constantly replace outstanding products with new, and in theory, improved products. Seven years later, I've yet to find sunglasses that come close to the quality of the Native Throttle/Asphalt for such a reasonable price. Please bring them back!!

Great fitting and light sunglasses

I have a hard time finding sunglasses to fit me as I have a small face. These sunglasses are designed for me! They fit great and are comfortable for hiking, biking, and running. No slipping even when sweaty. Really like them!
