Pilling Issue
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like the design, but got some quality issue, The jacket pilling like crazy. I have only been using this jacket as a middle layer during skiing. And only used for less than 20 days. The warranty department refuses to repair it and claims its normal wear and tear. I've talked to some other friends who had a similar jacket, and one of them has a Patagonia jacket, he has been wearing that for over 7 years and has no pilling issue at all. Very disappointed with the so-called lifetime warranty. I was a big fan of the TNF products. Not anymore.
Never
Buy a jacket the norte face thermoball eco. It was a horrible experience. The logo came out, threads came out on the neck, the zipper broke. I went to the store to claim. I waited 5 months for them to solve the problem and they never did. My north face jacket literally sucks. I will never buy a jacket from this brand again.
Very bad buying experience
Bought it as a birthday gift. After receiving it, I found that the zipper cord was broken and simply connected. There were two places on the collar that were unthreaded, and one corner of the collar was cracked by 0.5cm.
Perfect
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love it, I am male, 5'9 150 lbs, wearing a size small. I'm often a small-medium depending on the top. i'm a dense, skinny lean muscle type of person. Lots of clothing tends to fit big on me, slim fit is amazing and I feel like this jacket immediately fit me and has kept it's form and function this last year with almost everyday use. It's a very form fitting jacket. it's not bulky but remains warm. I noticed other reviews saying the slim fit is too small, but if you are on the skinny side, this jacket fits beautifully. there is just enough room for a mid layer as well.
If I could I'd buy it again
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loved the jacket but the zipper won't unzip from the bottom. When I called North Face I found out there are no more in stock. So, I'm working on it. If I have to, I'll have the zipper replaced. My son was so disappointed!!!
Logo coming off in less than a month
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this jacket at The North Face shop last month. The "T" on the logo have rubbed off (and the "H" is starting to). We tried exchanging it for a new one (as it was less than a month old). They told us that we'd have to send it back to TNF to be repaired under warranty. And we'd have to pay to have it shipped. Could take 6 weeks to get back. Not very convenient. This is a high end jacket but it looks like we got it on canal street in NYC. Other than that, it's warm and comfortable. Just looks like a knockoff now. Going to call American Express to get our money back.
NO
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked the coat until the lettering started to come of the coat in the front and back. This should not have happened for the price of the coat.
Perfect all weather jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So warm yet light! Great for long periods in 20-50 degree Wisconsin weather but it is also awesome for negative temperatures for short periods.
Warmth Without the Weight: ThermoBall™ Jacket 2.0 Delivers!
Purchased this jacket on 11/24/2024, and it has quickly become a staple for my winter adventures. The ThermoBall™ Jacket 2.0 is impressively lightweight yet provides exceptional warmth, making it perfect for both city wear and outdoor activities. The fit is true to size with enough room for layering without being bulky. What I appreciate most is the durability of the material and its ability to resist water; it keeps you dry and comfortable in light rain or snow. Additionally, the compactness is ideal for travel, easily fitting into a backpack without taking up much space. A great choice for anyone looking for a reliable, versatile winter jacket.
Great Jacket - would buy again
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased the ThermoBall as a specific mid-layer for skiing: insulating, windproof, with draw-string and elastic hems. Turned out I don't need a hard-shell over this at all. I've now skied at both Tahoe and Park City wearing just this jacket and it's performed great! Lightweight, warm, and super-visible on the mountain. Ski buddies always know where and who I am - which makes grouping up in a crowded lift-line far easier. Jacket replaced a mountain hardware Ghost Whisperer and I'm very happy with the warmth from the synthetic insulation. Also, love the lack of visible branding - the design's exactly what I want. Big fan of this jacket.
