Great jacket nice and warm love the colors it has a nice weight to it keeps me nice and warm on those cold days love North Face this is my 5th North Face jacket
Great coat skiid in it on a very mixed weather day it was warm and wind and water proof .
I like the jacket for downhill (lift) skiing at Whistler/Blackcomb: - The hood covers the entire helmet and stays up. I like to ski with my hood up when it's a bit cold. - The big, wide collar to zips up to cover most of my face even when wearing a thick face covering. - It has appropriate insulation. You need extra layers underneath when it's cold but it should be quite wearable for spring skiing with just a shirt on underneath. - Pockets are where they should be and the right size. Some suggestions for improvement: - There is no place to attach a whistle which would be close to the mouth. The zipper pulls where I would normally attach a whistle are solid and not useful for that purpose. This is quite important when skiing a big mountain resort like Whistler/Blackcomb. There really needs to be a place to attach a whistle near the mouth. I may get a little loop sown in some place on the jacket. - The inside chest zipper pocket should be on the inside of the insulation rather than the outside. This would keep the phone and other electronics warmer. - It would be nice if the collar was just a bit higher, maybe by a centimeter or so. Not a big deal. Overall I am very happy with the jacket so far.
Kept me toasty warm on my last ski trip when the temps were single digit.
Fits great, well made. Looking forward to next season!
It was a Christmas gift for my brother and he love it!
