Great little lantern, perfect for lighting up a small tent before bed. Its that perfect middle ground between not bright enough and blinding. I wouldn't recommend reading by it, but its just enough to find your shoes, or to find a headlamp for more focused lighting. Battery life is great, I generally leave it on the dim red all night so if I wake up I don't have to fumble around trying to find a light its already on. The ONLY thing I don't like about it is the proprietary charging cable, can't use it for anything else and can't charge it with anything else. my solution was to buy 2 of them so I can keep one cable at home and one in my pack at all times.
Awesome little lantern, warm light is the way to go!
This ML4 Warm is an incredibly useful and highly portable little lantern with a great red-light mode, and a nice warm white mode. It's a much more pleasing white than other typical cold fluorescent color temp lanterns on the market. However I actually wish it were an even warmer color temperature around 3000k, instead of the 4500k or so that it seems to be. But that's still much better than the the typical 6500k of regular cold white lanterns. So thanks for a great design Ledlenser, and hopefully you can warm it up even more in the next version, and also add a USB-C port with higher speed charging.
Teeny tiny
This so called lantern should have been described as teeny tiny, not small. It fits in the palm of my hand. No dimensions were provided in the specs. I bought it as a gift and was mortified when I saw how tiny it was.
ML4 Warm
What an incredible little but effective lighting source. I used it camping nd low light was perfect for prepping for sleep whereas a bit earlier in the night, a higher intensity light was perfect for finding an item in my tent. The size and weight were optimal. I used an old medication bottle for packing to keep it from getting "bruised" in my pack and scratched up. I showed it to my camping friends and they were really impresssed with this small, quality light source.
Pretty Nifty
Compact and light. The medium setting provides enough light to read comfortably by inside a tent. That said, bringing along an extra AA battery is a good idea when backpacking. Not sure that the proprietary magnetic charging cable is a great idea, as it creates one more cable to bring along. (Also, I found that the terminals need to be cleaned regularly in order for the cable to work.) Still, a useful little light for a three-to-five night trip.
Amazing Lantern!!!
Much brighter than expected with focused light! Going to buy 3 more! Love the fact that it’s compact AND dual compatible with double A batteries so you don’t have to rely on the charging of the lithium ion battery. As far as I know this is the only model Lantern of theirs that has this dual compatibility. A must for any one who wants to be prepared.

This is a very fun, unique, and useful lantern. The adjustable brightness options are convenient and easy to use. The ML4 is small but mighty!
