Campground Magic
I recently picked these up for a car camping trip with wife and kiddo. Recharged batteries at home before testing out. They put out a really nice ambient glow the brings some color fun. Not sure they would be good for cooking at night but definitely enough light to see around the campsite. I really like that you can disconnect the solar base from the string lights to take it to an optimum spot in the sun during daylight. Extra external ports are very handy to charge personal devices. Lightweight and super portable being able to contain string lights inside of the unit. Cool product
Great bulbs, poor battery design
The quality of the string lights makes up for the poor design of the battery housing and remarkably low battery life (25hrs? You'll be lucky to get 5). This would be drastically improved by doing away with the solar panel and stowaway design, and making it a straightforward battery unit (with a larger battery). It's easier and neater to put the string lights in a sack than to roll them up. And yet despite these flaws, I'm getting another. The LEDs themselves and the bulb housing are really really nice. Also, the lights would be better turned off by a long button push than by cycling through every single light setting. And the multicolor fade option should be first in the cycle, not last.
Fun lights: Solar String Lights 2024
I still have yet to get a full charge on Solar, I live in Hawaii. Also, Love the multi color choices, the fact that the bulbs are not glass and that the 44’ string is light weight. One defect in design is the little tiny hook for the strap to hook into to make a loop for hanging. My tiny plastic hook broke after two uses…. The plastic hook doesn’t have sufficient volume or density to actually work well. I’m disappointed that the little plastic cannot be glued back to work well. I’m hoping for an exchange and that they will fix that design glitch.
Beautiful lights, terrible battery life
Really disappointed with the battery life here. I got about 5 hours of light and then on the second day after solar charging (on a partly cloudy day) got about another 30 minutes. The website claims there's a low vs high lumen toggle but the user manual doesn't reference it and I can't for the life of me figure out how to switch it to low. Going to exchange for the single color model, which supposedly has much better overall battery life and a clearly defined method of cycling through lumen settings. +1 star because the build quality of the lights seems solid and the 5 hours they were on added great atmosphere to our campsite.
Frustrating Cord Tangles
Very frustrating to use. First, the good points — high quality and well designed. Now for the negatives — the light string tangles easily and is not convenient to wind back in its holder. Additionally, wish the “blue” color was more vibrant. The color is more of a light blue/pale purplish color. (it was difficult to tell if the color was “blue” or a “cool white”) Additionally, the “warm white” is indistinguishable from the “yellow” color. Overall, I could live with the colors, but the frustrating cord tangling was a deal breaker. Unfortunately, will be returning.

So cool and bright but bigger than I expected!
I have the regular shorter version of these lights which I love but have always wished they would cover a longer area so when these came out I was SO pumped. Got them and I was surprised at how much bigger the housing was than the original. I don't know why I was expecting them to be the same size even though the string length was so much longer. Anyways the length increase is huge! I may not use them for backpacking like I would the regular string lights because it's a bit bulky and heavy but these are definitely my new patio lights. Love them!

I am using this Luci Solar String Light on my sailboat. Love how I am lit up while anchored in a bay. I have been using Luci lights on my boat for about 8 years and very pleased with how they hold up in extreme conditions. I bought two of the 44' solar string lights and will be taking the other one home to use while camping off grid.
Exactly what I was looking for!
I love the regular Luci lights but always felt like I came up short length-wise when trying to deco my patio for parties. Now I have plenty AND do not have to put them up and take them down every time I have people over! Love the easily removable battery and neutral cord to blend into my patio's awning and rod iron more seamlessly.
Great design and function
I really cannot say enough good things about a product that is well designed, compact, and versatile. The solar charging is a nice benefit, but I think it would be a worthy purchase for the campsite, patio, porch, or even the interior of the home, since you could customize the color of the lights for various holidays or occasions.
Great lights, easy to charge, but very long
These worked really well, charged in the sunlight on the dashboard of the car during the day, and just worked. The only minor thing was they were REALLY long, which wasn’t so great for how we were using them, but the description does say they are 44’ long, so that is on me. Will definitely buy the shorter ones as well
