BUY THIS NOW!!

I’ve had these larger string lights since they came out in the OG yellow color and since have bought 1 more. Let me tell you, I’ve spent thousands on overland and camping gear and these are among my top 5 favorite camping gear. They are incredibly durable, dropped from trees , roof tops, been in gale winds and hail yet they still perform flawlessly, they provide much needed security lighting at night away from any civilization and great ambience. I really do love all my biolite products but you will not be disappointed with these. Also, the fact the cable detached is clutch so you can leave your lights up , and simply move the light into the sun. The pane actually charges them fully in a half day and they last all night no problem. GREAT PRODUCT!!!

Long time user, disappointed.

I love these lights. This is my third purchase. The is price has more than doubled, but I have thought they were a quality product. I made my latest purchase for a trip to Big Bend. The first use was very disappointing. Only the first 4 bulbs worked, the remaining string would not light up despite several attempts to reset them.

Thanks for your continued support and for your third purchase. We're sorry this latest set didn’t meet your expectations, especially so soon and before your trip. It seems there may be an issue with the string, and we’d like to investigate further. Please contact our support team here: https://www.bioliteenergy.com/pages/contact .

Short-Lived

Bought these lights December 2024. Great while they lasted but only used them maybe 10 times. They suddenly stopped working last week when we were camping in Yosemite. Conditions were warm and dry. We were always careful when handling the lights, stored them in the box and they were not dropped or otherwise abused. The power hub will not charge via either the solar or AC plug-in option. I took the unit apart but found no loose wires, cracks or other damage. Based on my experience and what several other customers have written I will NOT be purchasing a LUCI replacement product. Too bad because we really liked these lights while they worked.

Worked great, until it didn't work at all

We loved this light set, until it broke for seemingly no reason. If anyone has any suggestions for repairs, we would appreciate it. I hate to fill landfills with gear that likely should work? In general, the product seemed to stop charging.

Led color frequency not consistent.

I don't want to say that I purchased a defective unit but my first impression was that either it was defective or there is a considerable amount of voltage drop because the bulbs closer to the battery are significantly brighter than the bulbs further from the battery. Also, on each of the 3 brightness levels there are random locations of bulbs that are a more cool white light compared to the majority warm white light. I plan to use the lights on my next trip and see how they work. Initially I don't feel it's worth the $99 I paid, the quality just isn't there.

Fun lights: Solar String Lights 2024

I still have yet to get a full charge on Solar, I live in Hawaii. Also, Love the multi color choices, the fact that the bulbs are not glass and that the 44’ string is light weight. One defect in design is the little tiny hook for the strap to hook into to make a loop for hanging. My tiny plastic hook broke after two uses…. The plastic hook doesn’t have sufficient volume or density to actually work well. I’m disappointed that the little plastic cannot be glued back to work well. I’m hoping for an exchange and that they will fix that design glitch.

Avoid This Product!

This is a solar product but can’t be used consistently outdoors. Think about that. Bought this product to put in the backyard, to use the solar function to have outdoor lights at night and not use on trail. Within a contained environment, the lights failed within a few months. Couldn’t reach out to the company because I was on an Appalachian Trail thru hike. When I contacted the company all they could say is that the solar product is not weatherproof and I should have contacted them in warranty. Have purchased over $300 in Luci lights and wish I never supported this company. Avoid this product as it is not worth $99

Avoid this product!

Purchased this product because they say it is a solar product and can be used outdoors. Unfortunately, just using this product in my backyard was too much for this product. The lights stopped working within a few months of purchasing it. When I was able to contact the company to let them know the product failed they blamed it on me and said that the solar product is not meant for regular use outdoors.

Loved the lights until it melted shut

We used these lights for three camping trips, all in New England in the summer. We recently used them for the forth trip this summer. I loved these lights for our dining canopy and stringing around our site. Not too bright but just enough to see and clean up at night. I'm giving it three stars because for a solar light it doesn't have the durability to be left in the sun. On our recent camping trip to Maine, we left the lights hanging out to collect sun. The box melted and sealed it shut preventing it to be opened. Tried to use a flathead to pry it open and the entire box fell apart. It was only in the 80's out that day. I can't imagine what happens when it's in hotter locations. All this to say, I really did like them. If we order them again, we'll not keep them in the hot sun.

BioLite Luci Rocks! Well worth the money spent.

Quality product. Well thought out & tough. I dropped it the 1st day & no damage. Lights lasted all night on low and only consumed 1 of 4 dots on the battery! It'll be great for a multi day family adventure.
