Disappointing

First time purchasing an arcteryx product. This is supposed to be there warmest jacket (or second warmest), however I often find myself cold and not feeling comfortable in weather from only 0 to -5. Also for the price I am very disappointed with the build quality, and features. It doesnt feel like its worth the price at all. The cloth wipe in the pocket cannot be removed temporarily which is weird also looks low quality the way it is connected. Finally the fit is weird, I originally ordered an XL and it was massive! Ive had to go through the trouble of returning it and ordering a L and although it looks good it fits too tight in the shoulders and chest/back.

No, I do not recommend this product

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry the Fissile Down Jacket didn’t meet your expectations for warmth and fit. While warmth can be subjective, we recommend consulting our layering guide to optimize insulation for different conditions. However, we understand the importance of staying warm, especially in colder weather, and we're sorry this jacket didn't provide the insulation you were looking for. Regarding sizing, some of our gear has been revised recently, so we suggest checking the sizing guide and comparing it with your measurements. We’re happy to assist with any questions, and with free returns within 30 days, you can try multiple sizes for the best fit. https://arcteryx.com/ca/en/help/contact

Typical Arc'teryx Performance!

Typical high-quality build and performance! Only ding is that for some reason, even at 5'11, 150lbs, the medium is tight around the armpits while the chest has room to spare.

High Quality Coat, tight fitting in armpit area

Burly coat and quite warm. Fit is spacious in the torso but a bit tight in the armpits area so if youre on the fence on sizing, size up. Arms are a little longer - similar to the Macai. I wish the zipper was 2-way but it isnt. Detachable hood is great. Overall, a solid high quality bulletproof feeling coat but the tightness in the armpit might prove uncomfortable with layers (which, given the warmth you may not want anyway).

Bests jacket I've ever had. So many good features

Such a great jacket. Tough material, trim fit, fully weather proof. The jacket provides some great warmth in pretty cold temps. Plus the high collar is great for keeping neck and chin warm as well. Love that the hoody comes off and makes the jacket feel a bit more premium and upscale when needed. I'm 5'9" 155 lbs. athletic build and have a size S. Fits perfectly.

Overall good winter jacket but with a design flaw

Warm, styling winter jacket, suitable for daily commute. The beard area has very soft material so it's extremely easy to have pilling for male users. It was noticeable after couple of day usage, so I'm not sure how long it will last before it become unwearable, This type of winter jacket with high collar design should use more durable material for that area.

Fissile down jacket

Did not fit me properly.. for over 20 years an xl has fit me perfect (6’2”, 220lbs) this model was a little bigger in the chest and shorter in torso and in the arms. The jacket looked great, was a nice colour but the fit was off from my previous arcteryx gear
