Arc'teryx  Cerium SL Down Hoody - Men's

Super happy with this purchase! Many say it feels like wearing a plastic garbage bag, but I don’t feel that way at all. The jacket is amazingly light and perfect for various conditions. I wore a T-shirt underneath along with the Cerium SL and Alpha SV, and I was good to go. Sometimes, I wear a base layer instead, and this jacket keeps me warm during my commute or in the office. Plus, it packs down so small that I can take it anywhere. Great performance! I’d say this jacket is more functional for activities like skiing or skating, but I wouldn’t recommend it for extreme cold outdoor wear unless you’re someone who runs hot and sweats easily.

Excellent warmth from such a thin jacket. I use it as a jacket instead of base layer so I hope it holds up. When you first wear it, it is loud and makes a crinkly paper sound. That dissipates the more you wear the jacket. One thing that could be better—if not wearing the hood, the ribbed hood cuff material rubs against back of neck irritating it. If I wear a shirt with a collar, it goes away. Maybe a bigger size would have solved that but I like the jacket to hug the body. Overall quality is excellent and I recommend it.

This used to be, by far, one of the best things that Arcteryx used to produce. It was available in a beautiful navy blue color with a dark burgundy interior, which was fabulous because it was not garish. The color was subdued, but the hint of maroon from the interior was so good. Now the SL version is only available in a boring black, and it's become shinier for some reason. Very stupid..

The new model Cerium SL Hoody is the perfect light, warm travel / hike piece. The right amount of warmth in a jacket that is easy to carry on any adventure. I have used the previous version of the Cerium SL since 2016 and it has been my go to for cool to mild temperature activities. The new version has improved fabric that feels more durable and higher loft down making it a bit warmer.

would give a 5* rating for the product if it weren't for the fact that color options have changed within a week of me purchasing, extremely frustrating, given Forage is hands down the most versatile color, had to "settle" with black which is not the same.

Bought but was wishing for a larger size (3XL) like they offer in other insulated jackets. Had to return just a little tight also would have expected a better quality zipper because the one on it seemed very breakable.

It’s a personal preference, sure, but I really don’t like the ‘wet’/glossy fabric. I also wish it came in that dark blue colour.
