I had this jacket a few months, but returned it when I noticed that compared to the rest of the jacket most all of the baffles on the backside had little to no down in them. Unbelievably terrible quality control for this jacket to leave the manufacturer with this shoddy workmanship. This especially should never be the case for a jacket the sellers expect the customer to pay $400 for.
Took this jacket to sunrise hike to Garibaldi and Panorama Ridge and it was more than enough to keep me warm with just a T-shirt underneath. Only one thing that bothered me was the breathability and wearing during high intense activity even with just a t-shirt underneath, I did sweat quite quickly and made it very difficult to take the jacket off after. Other than that, I loved how it packs itself in the bag from the inside pocket of the jacket, extremely lightweight and very comfortable. This is my first ever down jacket and it may have to be my only one because of how versatile and warm it is.
Very nice light weight warm packable 700 down jacket, would have given 5 stars except my only gripe is inside pocket is extremely shallow so much that if not zipped or if zipper was work its self-open you can easily lose contents, in my case have had wallet fall out on more than one occasion, last time was in a store luckily store employee found it and returned to before I left store, if had been out in the woods different story! pocket has built-in stuff bag nice but bag also wants to shove things out if not zipped, I also have a NorthFace down jacket that has a real deep inside pocket where you can throw your phone, wallet, Keys and never worry about losing anything!
Jacket material is so flimsy that it rips easily with anything g that is even remotely sharp. That’s not even the worst part, the zipper is horribly made and will get stuck or not zip up correctly half the time. Jacket ripped up after a couple weeks, then 2 months later the zipper completely fell off. Was definitely expecting something better quality because of the high price.
I love the tailored fit yet it surprisingly doesn't restrict movement. It is warm and very light. I love that I can pack it into a ball - great for travelling. It has a great temperature range. I can wear it around the house and not get hot. I can wear it outside down to 40F. I can even under a shell or another jacket on single digit degree days. Everything about this jacket is great EXCEPT its good for about 2 years before small tears and pieces of feathers start coming out. Needs to be replaced after 3 years. I bought a new one after 3 years and love it again, but it has been 3 year into my second jacket and its worn out again. I will look for a different jacket this time...
A great warm jacket with the worst zipper imaginable. Way undersized. It only fault but it is a big one.
Love this new green colour. I am always cold and this Cerium Jacket solves my problems. Super lightweight yet warm. Love this. Already looking at another one in a different colour. This size fits me perfectly so that helps.
I have been using jackets from Patagonia North face and spider but this stands way too good. It’s light but give you the perfect comfort and warm mess. I love it and I’m gonna order it for my family too too good
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) As the fall season has come around again, I have pulled out my Cerium jacket and am always pleased to wear it. Like all my other Arc’teryx gear this jacket is simple, stylish and high quality. It keeps me warm even during the cold -30C days and is fairly wind resistant. If you need a little more wind resistance and extra warmth just throw a light shell over top. Lastly, this jacket performs well in the city and also during a variety of activities such as hiking, skiing and etc… Fantastic overall
Love this thing. Incredible warmth and won't weigh you down! I use it as a midlayer mostly for skiing in Mont-Tremblant (where it gets cold AF) and it does the trick. Please don't change this design too much! The only suggestion I have is to come up with an inner compartment for the store sack..... rather than have to hook it inside the chest pocket. You could easily create a small flap in the inner seem to store the sack..... that is my only note.
