Great sunglasses for this 70 year old road biker!
I really like these sunglasses! I never had biking specific sunglasses before. These really help me see very clearly (ChromaPop Red Mirror Lens) in sunny and cloudy conditions. The lens height allows me to look far ahead with total coverage, my previous sunglasses did not allow that. I'm an older guy with a less flexible torso than I used to have to these really help me see well without straining my neck to look up. They fit my face well (medium width) and stay put. The lenses don't fog up. Really happy with them!
Love the Ruckus, not sure about Photochromic lens
I really like the Ruckus lens shape, frame, and fit. I have a larger head/face, and the fit is great for mtn biking and road biking. Jury is still out on the Photochromic lens. I like it on cloudy and partly cloudy days for sure. I thought it would be good for going in and out of the trees on sunny days, but the lens doesn't change that fast. On blue-bird sunny days, I find myself wishing I had a little more lens. Packaging the Photochromic Ruckus with an Ignitor lens as the second lens seems redundant. Both are better for low light days. Neither are great for bright sunny days. Ideally Smith would pair the more expensive Photochromic lens with a lower VLT lens like, say, a Chromapop Platinum.
Great Glasses
I use these glasses for driving and trail running and I've had these glasses for about 5 months now. Hands down my favorite pair of glasses. Easy to swap out lenses with the rose lens which comes with the glasses. I think the rose looks silly but it really makes trail obstacles pop! What turned me onto these glasses was the interchangeable lenses, although I will admit, it had been hard to find replacements on the website. I never liked the idea of owning multiple glasses for different lighting conditions. The lenses are also fairly durable. I dropped them the first day I had them and got a nasty scratch on the right eye, I still have a hard time seeing the scratch when wearing them. All around I don't have any big complaints other than the difficulty finding replacement lenses.
The Bee's Knees
I bought these bad boys for biking this summer and they are top notch. The photochromic lenses are super nice for transitioning between different lighting levels throughout the day and the PivLock system makes it outrageously easy to swap out lenses, which is key. No issues with fogging while on the up-track and the lens quality is unbeatable (like in both my Squad XL ski and bike goggles). Looking forward to testing these out while touring this winter. Another great product by Smith, as expected.
Bring the Ruckus
Coming out of a pair of Julbo Race sunglasses. The optics on these Smith glasses are so crisp. Great coverage and peripheral clarity. Smith are my go to ski goggles and I feel these provide the same great view and coverage in a lightweight sunglass package.
La lunette protège très bien
La lunette protège très bien des rayons du solei et offre une excellente visibilité. On voit bien les détails de la surface neigeuse. Seul déception l’appui n’existe n’est pas ajustable alors que celui que j’avais pouvait être élargi,
Great Sunnies
Great quality with the fit and build. Having the rose lenses is great for low light or even nighttime. Second pair of this model that I have owned due to the craftsmanship of the product. Will buy again if needed.
Best glasses ever
Been riding a bike for 50 year's have had a lot of riding glasses these are the best polarized clear lens works in shade and sun. Awesome
The glasses were a gift
The glasses were a gift for my road biking husband. He could not see out of them. They were returned.
