Poor Quality
While changing to the clear lenses, the top of the frame broke. Poor design or material quality. Tried to warranty the glasses and was denied. Will not purchase Smith products again, over the years they have reduced the quality and increased the price.
Not Durable x Awful Warranty Program
Second pair of Wildcats has failed the exact same way as the first - with the cheap plastic hinges shearing off (feel free to search on google/reddit to see tons of similar examples). Rather than acknowledge the design flaw, the warranty dept attributed the break to "misuse, abuse, or negligence" and offered a worthless discount off MSRP. The worst part is the broken arm could easily be replaced as only a single screw attaches it to the frame. I loved these glasses for mountain biking and backcountry skiing - however I would not recommend them to anyone who partakes in the former. Vision is so important before dropping in to a committing line and pulling these out of the case to find the arm detached can really mess with your day out.
love the optics
these are my new faves - large lenses that stay put and give me great visibility on all my runs. these work well in the shade and bright sun have been awesome on my local runs and more technical mountain trails. they also fit well under a hat. love the colors too!
Perfection
I love these glasses! I mainly use them on my road bike and they never fog up or have sweat run down the inside of the lens. Last summer during a bike race my friend with a different brand was always having to fuss with his glasses, I never had to touch mine.
sunglasses
love the look and color on this pair of sunglasses. The lens are very clear. I like the clear lense too. I've worn these all day on long bike rides and sweat doesnt mess up the vision that bad. The cloth bag they came with cleans up the lenses pretty nicely.
Fabulous sunglasses. I have a smaller frame face and often have sunglasses fall off my face. These have a great fit, full protection. I can wear them for every task. The clear lenses are great for ski touring at night and biking!
Variable light conditions make the Photocromic lemses a perfect choice for hikes and random short ski tours in PNW, i usually use the Persuits but wanted something with more airflow which these excelled in.
BAD QUALITY Arms Snap Off
Extremely BAD quality for what it is worth. I had 2 pairs that lasted 3 months each because the arm snapped off. Will DEFINITELY NOT be buying another one.
Wildcat Photo chromic
Great fit and really love the photo chromic lenses. On my second pair as one of the arms broke when folding up and putting in my helmet.
Great glasses and they work really well with my prescription inserts. The lenses are top quality and the fit is awesome.
