Smith  Riptide ChromaPop Polarized Sunglasses

I have enjoyed Smith optics for over 10 years now and the have the best customer service and warranty in the sunglass game Let’s talk about the riptide style , I have had these for a few weeks and love the fit and quality these provided in the few short week I have owned them . I’m a avid shooter and hit the lakes and ponds fishing as much as possible. The lenses are perfect balance of tint and Letting a good amount of light through. I might pick up a second pair to keep in my Truck . Thanks Smith for a perfect pair of sunglasses .

Smith Riptide with ChromaPop Glass Lens Out of the box I liked the glasses immediately. The frame is a little larger what I was wearing but adjusted to the look quickly. The chromaPop lens do enhance the colors nicely. I like a lens that cuts the glare but are not too dark. These are perfect. The lens are supposed to be glass. They are lighter weight than my previous pair of Smiths with glass lens which gives me pause. Time will tell how well they hold up. These glasses were part of a warranty claim from an older pair of Smiths. I give Smith a 6 out of 5 rating for their warranty service. Be sure to keep your receipt somewhere just-in-case. :grin: All-in-all, super happy with the purchase.

Frame (Riptide)is a great fit for big heads like mine and the ChromoPop lenses are amazing! These lenses are better than some of the more marketed lenses out there (Maui Jim). These lenses are great for bright days, overcast days ANY DAY!

I’m a tennis pro in Florida and on the court in the glaring sun for hours each day. These glasses have been fantastic:, never slipping and giving me full eye coverage/protection with crystal clear lenses. Thanks Smith!

These are excellent glasses, they are very durable and provide excellent clarity for fishing. I’ve had cheaper glasses, typically with polycarbonate lenses, and they eventually scratch or fade over time. With these you’re getting a much more durable product with water glare reduction that makes seeing those rainbow and brown trout back in the run so much easier, so even though I’ve never spent this much on a pair of sunglasses, they’re worth it to me and Smith is great on their warranties so I know I’ll have them for a long time!

Love these. Had to get something to replace my old worn out Wolcotts and it took me a bit to find the right pair but these are the ones. They’re very light and the frame is nice and thin. I love the spring hinges and I feel they’re a must for glasses you plan to be active in and just for general comfort. The ChromaPop lenses are so nice and totally worth it. The matte tortoise frames look pretty cool, you almost can’t tell they’re tortoise unless you’re in the sun. More subtle than regular tortoise. Would 100% recommend these

I have a smaller face with slightly uneven ears I also am getting older so my eyes can’t take the really dark lens anymore. These are working out perfect. The frames are light, the spring hinges are firm so they don’t fall off my face and they don’t touch my face so the lens doesn’t get fogged up constantly. The lens color is perfect for both everyday as well as offshore fishing. Cuts the harsh sun and glare, but colors stay true and I can still see detail. My new favorites.

Generally, they seem great. However, they do not fit my face. I keep having to push them up. This is probably a face-dependent thing. I got these glasses after my Smith Wolcotts broke after several years. Smith warranted them without question and I got the Riptides (the closest replacement). My old Wolcotts fit perfectly and worked very well for looking up and down which I frequently do climbing. However, the Riptides slowly slide down my nose and do not stay on when I look down.

I've been wearing Smith for 25 years. Although I've tried other top-rated brands like Ray-Ban, Costa and others, I've always been happiest with the clarity, comfort, and excellent craftsmanship of Smith. I constantly praise Smith and recommend their ChromaPop sunglasses to anyone I hear in the market for high quality optics. My new glass Riptide optics fit perfectly on my head and clarity is top-notch, perfect for outdoor activities, heavy or light. Great sunglasses, Smith.
