almost magic travel
If you want to travel light in cool weather this is almost magic. You can go 2 to 3 more day without washing than any shirt. Amazing body warmth management: warm when you need it but cool enough when you don't. This was the most important item a 10 day Scotland in April with one small backpack 17x12x8.

Rises up way past waist when I raise hands
The fabric feels amazingly soft. It was very form fitting and I was excited that it was worth paying the extra for until I realized every time I reached up the air it completely rose up to my belly button. It felt like it had already been shrunk in the dryer or something. The shirt was tight and form fitting in most places but down by my waist it wasn’t long enough or snug enough to stay in place. Someone else had a similar complaint. I buy arcteryx gear because they fit so well even though they’re expensive. But I’ve learned not to settle. I got this on a closeout and still will be returning.

The Perfect Base Layer

Just arrived! The Icebreaker Oasis top and bottom are great. Perfect fit, high quality and keeps the cold at bay. As a ski patroller, I’m out all day and Icebreaker keeps me comfortable. Tip - order you normal clothing size (seems obvious) and you will love the perfect fit!

I wore it and washed it 2 times. Please look at the picture and tell me that this is okay. Absolutely dissapointed. My REI merinos never developed such holes as Icebreaker did. This is my first and last Icebreaker purchase, considering the high price, I will no longer take the risks.

Quality fabric but you decide about the fit.

Found this on sale and ordered my regular size and it fits like a body forming layer. I ordered a size up and it seemed a better fit for my needs. Quality fabric but the collar feels stretchy some what. The length of the shirt is longer than some if that's what you like, but I'm not trying to warm my butt. Some people may have a longer trunk type body or tuck their shirt. Sleeves plenty long. Its lightweight. I'm keeping the 200 top and will see its long term use but the 260 weight I sent back because I felt the lighter base layer worked for me as I could layer to get better results with more versatility for my climate. The fabric is plush and you may wear this as a everyday top used as casual wear on cold days. The fabric is that nice.

Much softer than expected

I have a few of these in different weights, all in black. They are not "soft" but really warm for the thickness and weight. For some reason, this weird Geo Blue color is much softer than black. I bought XL size on sale (one-third normal price) to layer up. I wish my size was in stock for this sale. These are really nice.

For Reduced Odor

I have only used this once so far, on a 4-day Presidential Traverse in the White Mountains. Up to this point I have used purely synthetic (polyester) base layers and have definitely noticed the "stink" factor. This was definitely an improvement in that respect. I only gave it 4 stars because I haven't used it enough to see what kind of longevity it will have and how it will stand up to abrasion. But so far, so good. Temps were rather high for this trip and I also would like to know if it will prove to be significantly warmer than what I've used previously.

Good odor control and fit/stretch, but itchy

Good odor control and fit/stretch, but still itchy, even for 200 merino. Maybe I'm just not a wool kind of guy.

Warm and well made

Form fitting for someone who is slim. Nice and warm base clothing with good tight weave.

The best shirt

I don’t have the most experience with merino wool (started to embrace it in 2020) but it very well seems you get what you pay for. This was my second Icebreaker shirt purchase and I find their stuff to be of the highest quality. I wear this to run and hike in temps ranging from the mid 20s (with a hoodie on top) to about 50 degrees (by itself) and it keeps me comfortable.
