Great for winter hiking, wicks well, doesn’t need frequent washing, worried it’d itch like regular wool but have hiked for hours without noticing it at all! It’s a good buy,
This base layer functions exactly as intended! It helps keep you warm all while dumping excess heat when the climbs get steep. It’s great as a standalone layer on the cooler days and does great with a solid mid layer when the temps drop. Obviously price point is a consideration but as someone who operates under the ethos of “buy once, cry once” this piece will certainly meet those expectations. Make sure to follow the care instructions to ensure it lives out its best life in your base layer quiver.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wore this during the recent JFK 50 Mile race where the weather was cold, windy, and snowy. This shirt kept me warm, and dry and did not chafe my skin (even under a running hydration vest). I would recommend this shirt to anyone active in inclement that needs to stay warm. 10/10 would buy again!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only wish the color options were a little more diverse than when I ordered. Great warmth, great fit, great quality. I will buy more.
Can’t beat Merino wool. Good price
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Brilliant layer. Got it to replace one I had since 2009. Expecting to use this one for another 10+ years
