Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIZE: If your body measurements are midway between two sizes, select the smaller size for a tighter fit or the larger size for a looser fit. If your body measurements result in different sizes, we recommend using your chest measurement for tops and your hip measurement for pants.

Baselayers kept me warm and dry on ski days. Used them for lift and hike-to skiing. Worked great. Didn’t smell. Washed easily and dry quickly.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You cant not wash this garment more than a few times during its short life. Every top I have ever bought never lasted more than 11 months. The people at icebreaker refuse to reinforce those areas like elbows and under the arms which could extend the life of this garment. I imagine that they want to make people purchase this over and over again. So to make up for this they allow you to get a free sweater if you send them pictures of the one that has worn out in less than a year.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This most recent 260 purchase demonstrates the Icebreaker is making changes for the better. I own several 260's already from past years. This newest shirt has what appears to be a somewhat different weave. It is softer and even more comfortable. It is immediately noticeable and very pleasant. One caveat: I usually wear a size large in Icebreaker, but the Large size here was too big. I exchanged for a medium, which fit precisely. Can't go wrong otherwise.
This has quickly become one of my go-to layers. The merino wool is warm without being bulky, and it breathes really well so I don’t overheat when I’m moving around. The half zip makes it easy to regulate temperature, and it works just as well on its own as it does under a jacket. Super comfortable against the skin, no itch, and it doesn’t hold odor like synthetics do. Great for work, travel, or the outdoors — definitely worth it.
I ski for a living in the mountains. The Icebreaker 260 Tech Half Zip fits like a dream. It isn't baggy like some other Merino products I own from other companies. I Highly Recommend. With this purchase, I'm officially a convert to Icebreaker Merino products. Regardless of whether you are a beginner, an expert, or somewhere in between, this product will not let you down.
Love it! Love everything wool. Irish sweaters. Hand knit socks. Love all my Icebreaker clothing. Perfect fit. Tried to shrink after losing weight. Machine washed. Hot dryer. Most wool felts and shrinks with anything other than handwashing. Not this. Wore this half-zip all winter. Seemed like every day for 8 yrs before replacing. Price tag a bit ouchy.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use it to go running when it's cold outside; alone, it's not enough, but with a t-shirt underneath, it keeps warm up to the freezing point. It's just slightly too big for me, but a cycle in the drying machine made the fit a smidge better. The collar is a little annoying; it's a little too big, but I don't want to open it so the cold can sneak in.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this base layer when ice climbing and back country skiing. I love the 1/2 zip when you're working hard and then being able to close the zip to retain your heat. The fit of this top is much more loose than the fit of the zone knit top. I like a close fitting neck to keep my neck warm and this does not do that.
Caveat emptor: I own two Icebreakers and on both the ink from the label inside the back collar comes off on my skin. I get a black tattoo every time I wear the shirt. I finally put tape over it but of course it comes off eventually. Great quality otherwise but this label problem is a disaster.
Crisp details with a nice fit and finish. It’s a very attractive base layer that’s at home in the woods or downtown. The fit is between a regular cut and a slim. The garment fits close to my skin without hugging me or interfering with movement. I’m 6’ tall, 175 pounds with a 44” chest and the large fit me perfectly with a little extra room to spare for first wash shrinkage. This is a very stretchy weave and it feels a little less substantial and a little more delicate than the Smartwool 250 gsm. I would have preferred if they had blended in some nylon or polypropylene to toughen it up. I have never liked the feeling of wool against my skin but this is really comfortable to wear. In fact it is the most comfortable top or base layer that I have ever owned. My only real issue is the cheap zipper they chose to use this year. Putting a dollar store zipper on a $120.00 garment is offensive. If this is the beginning of a permanent trend with Icebreakers then this will be the last thing I ever purchase from them.
