Everything about the product is great except the durability

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You cant not wash this garment more than a few times during its short life. Every top I have ever bought never lasted more than 11 months. The people at icebreaker refuse to reinforce those areas like elbows and under the arms which could extend the life of this garment. I imagine that they want to make people purchase this over and over again. So to make up for this they allow you to get a free sweater if you send them pictures of the one that has worn out in less than a year.

Great shirt with a few positive and noticeable changes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This most recent 260 purchase demonstrates the Icebreaker is making changes for the better. I own several 260's already from past years. This newest shirt has what appears to be a somewhat different weave. It is softer and even more comfortable. It is immediately noticeable and very pleasant. One caveat: I usually wear a size large in Icebreaker, but the Large size here was too big. I exchanged for a medium, which fit precisely. Can't go wrong otherwise.

Comfortable enough to wear every day!

Love it! Love everything wool. Irish sweaters. Hand knit socks. Love all my Icebreaker clothing. Perfect fit. Tried to shrink after losing weight. Machine washed. Hot dryer. Most wool felts and shrinks with anything other than handwashing. Not this. Wore this half-zip all winter. Seemed like every day for 8 yrs before replacing. Price tag a bit ouchy.

Overall, pretty great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use it to go running when it's cold outside; alone, it's not enough, but with a t-shirt underneath, it keeps warm up to the freezing point. It's just slightly too big for me, but a cycle in the drying machine made the fit a smidge better. The collar is a little annoying; it's a little too big, but I don't want to open it so the cold can sneak in.

Much more relaxed fit than the 260 zone knit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this base layer when ice climbing and back country skiing. I love the 1/2 zip when you're working hard and then being able to close the zip to retain your heat. The fit of this top is much more loose than the fit of the zone knit top. I like a close fitting neck to keep my neck warm and this does not do that.

Beware the ink from the label

Caveat emptor: I own two Icebreakers and on both the ink from the label inside the back collar comes off on my skin. I get a black tattoo every time I wear the shirt. I finally put tape over it but of course it comes off eventually. Great quality otherwise but this label problem is a disaster.

My favorite three-season base or outer layer

I bought three of this fine half-zip a year ago. They’re soft and warm, easy to wash and make a good base layer. Most of the time, they’re my outer shirt over a tee from October through April in NW PA. I’m about to order one more.

Excellent Baselayer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent base layer addition. Fits great over the crew neck long sleeve 200 Oasis. Together, they eliminate the need for a light jacket in cool weather. Soft and comfy. Feels great against my body, without feeling rough or itchy.

Great base layer with bad zipper

The fabric is very comfortable to wear without undershirt. You can wear it everyday. Slim fit for athletic men. But the zipper stuck from time to time, they need to upgrade this, i see other pointing out the same flaw.
