Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIZE: If your body measurements are midway between two sizes, select the smaller size for a tighter fit or the larger size for a looser fit. If your body measurements result in different sizes, we recommend using your chest measurement for tops and your hip measurement for pants.

For some strange reason, SmartWool quit making turtlenecks for us women. This is a thicker than SM, soft, black merino turtleneck that has a longer cut (which is nice for tucking in). It was pricey, but I love how it is a thin wool layer that keeps me warm. I know from experience it's important to keep these protected from moth damage (this is a replacement) and I know that they handwash well. I am 36D and ordered a medium.
Warm and elegant looking. Too long but people who often tucked in their clothes would appreciate it. The sizing guide may not be accurate because mine came on the looser end so order one to two size down (if you want a fitted look). Don't be afraid to size down because they do stretch however maybe always do a cold hand wash so you won't shrink them.
Warm, feels good against the skin, I like the turtleneck, even though it is really a mock turtleneck. Great base layer. Thin! Marino wool is great for regulating your body temperature, too. I had this on under a regular t-shirt and a mid-weight puffer jacket on a windy winter day that was in the low 20s in Oklahoma. Going inside and outside was not uncomfortable at all.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have several merino long sleeve tops but most of them leave the neck bare. I have also one covers the lower part of the neck with a short fairly stiff front zipper making them less comfortable. Even I have a fairly large head that turtle neck is no problem. Turtle necks are great to keep yo r neck warm but a lightweight version would be great for sun protection.
Great for intermediate weather (30f to 50f). Love the material and quality. I did not like the mock turtle neck color that loose fitting? The color ruined the shirt for me. Why couldn't it be a normal color with the 260 weight? Size of shirt was a good fit, true to size. Great for working outdoors, wicks moisture away and keeps you warm.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Worn for New England weather, have 5 other Icebreaker long sleeve T's all medium, regular crew neck. This T neck is bigger all around - fit is too loose. Neck is a Mock, not a real fold over T neck. Hope it shrinks a bit with a 10 minute dryer cycle. A shame as all the rest are perfect !!~
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The turtle neck sweater was perfect for the surprise winter weather and fitted very well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fits very well, warm as expected and very well made. Recommend it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live at 8,000', wear icebreakers from October through March
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect on its own or as a base layer under a hoodie.
