I think these are the best Keen’s I’ve ever owned and I’ve have had several. Total comfort right out of the box. They not only keep my feet dry but also warm. The support is right on!
I had high hopes for these shoes as they were exactly what I’ve been looking for. The shoe looks great, and for the most part it fit, however it was significantly longer than my same size keen shoes. I always wear an 8.5 in a keen shoe/boot/sandal (have about 10 different pairs) but this shoe was too long unfortunately so they had to go back. Lately I’ve had to send back lots of keen shoes as the fit varies greatly from style to style. Very frustrating since I’ve been a die-hard Keen fan for almost 20 years. Sadly Quality and construction isn’t what it used to be.
I've worn these boots several times over the couple weeks I've owned them, on a ~3 mile loop on muddy trails and wet grass. They've kept my feet dry and feel very sturdy. They've been comfortable since the first time I put them on and have required no breaking in period. I wear an 8.5, and the 8.5 wide is plenty wide enough for my toe (and heel) with a tiny bit of play when I wear thin socks (but no rubbing that would cause blisters). Hopefully I won't encounter the heel splitting that another reviewer had, otherwise I plan to wear these for a very long time.
Not true to size. Size is larger. Order 7.5 but feels like 8.
I am rating the product (shoes) as 4 star but they were packed in a non-descript brown thin, slightly bent box with no REI labeling, in a white plastic bag. The shoes had either been tried on before or returned as there was no packing in the toe of the shoes, the laces were simply tied and had an added-on info/price tag. This was in comparison to the larger size shoes (with packing in the toe and heel and laces that were obviously never untied) I had received but returned them for this smaller size.
These hiking shoes fit well, with enough room for thick socks. They appear to be very well made and sturdy.
Agree with Cari. These run large. Ordered a 7 and feels like 7.5. Will return for half size smaller.
Great looking and true to size. Comfortable with no break in period.
This shoe feels very heavy. I bought instead of my usual, beloved, Targhee III, but alas, at least on my feet, they feel like I’m wearing weights. While they appear to be the usual Keen quality in terms of looks and functionality, they are just not for me at this time. Sigh. I’ve had them much longer than 30 days but I’ve probably worn them three times. I will keep trying to use them because I’m in need of shoes but so far my experience has not been good.
I've tried these on once since I received them. I bought them as a replacement for the same shoe I've had for a number of years that I absolutely loved. The new shoes, not so much. They are heavy. I mean they weigh a ton. I'm going to try them again around the house before I make my final decision. At this point, I'm disappointed. This is the second pair of Keen's that I've bought as replacements and are more bulky and heavier than the originals.
