Bike looks good, Haibike support is not!!

My Haibike was delivered when it was scheduled by the Dillon REI store. The bike seems to be well built and solid in the first 2 rides!! The problem is when I reviewed the documentation I was provided with by the bike shop at REI, I find that it is totally inadequate!! First it seems to be for a different controller (the Bosch Truvia not the Purion that on the bike), Second the manual is a general manual one and not specifically for this bike. There is almost no adjustment info and it looks like the manual is supposed to cover all manner of bikes!! I sent an email to Haibikeusa and so far have not heard a peep!! When I called REI before purchase, the person I talked to said that the good thing about Haibike was that they were responsive to customers. That has not been my experience! For the price of the Haibike ALL MTB 5, I would expect complete documentation and responsiveness from Haibike. I live over 2 hours from the nearest REI store and cannot be running back and forth to get help!! I am a long time member of REI and have had exceptionally good service from them (that is the reason for the 4 stars instead of 3!). But someone should check what info is supplied with any product and especially one as expensive as this!!

Amazing, amazing mountain bike.

Amazing, amazing mountain bike. It's a real MTB in every way, but allows climbing more easily, so it opens up rides tha were previously not possible. Now, instead of riding 10-15 miles, you can go 30-50 miles in a day. You can ride one-way routes that would normally require a car-shuttle, using this bike as your shuttle. The Bosch system is awesome, and feels very natural to ride it. The boost settings are nicely dialed-in. I love the components, all Shimano XT, and very well integrated. I just love this bike.

Incredible Mountain Bike!!!

The 2021 Haibike AllMtn 5 is an incredible and Very capable mountain E bike. I It is equipped with excellent suspension, brakes, drive-train and motor. The ride is smooth and nimble with the mullet setup (29" front, 27.5" rear wheels). Shifting is crisp, fast and accurate. It climbs like a mountain goat. Simply the bike is the best I have ridden without totally breaking the bank (and these bikes aren't cheap by any stretch). The Allmtn 5 is a little heavier than some of the competitors but on the road or trail you will never know the difference. It rides great while boosted (85nm boost) and with the drive turned off. My wife and I test-road a variety of different ebikes in price ranges from $1200 to $7500. We also tested most styles including touring/commuter, fat tires, cruisers & hybrids and mountain with both mid-drive and hub drive. The choices are amazing. We concluded that mountain style is the most useful for us. If you can get one on sale before they're gone you will be very very pleased with your choice. Get one quick! Happy trails!
