Great bike reasonable price. Being a 1st time REI buyers, all went well
The Moterrra 3 is the Brontosaurus of e Mt. Bikes. It's a 29er that is long, wide and heavy. It rides like a solid 4wd full sized pick up. It was smooth and absorbed bumps. The battery worked great and the interface with the screen was intuitive. The bike does not come with tubules ready tires. It's heavy at 62 pounds with the battery installed. It was not an easy bike to get in and out of the house and on the bike rack. If you don't have fairly strong upper body you would really struggle maneuvering this bike around. REI never notified me when the bike arrived at the store. When I called after the expected date they said it was there and ready for pick and acted incredulous that I had not picked it up. When I picked it up it was not ready and they needed 2 more hours to work on it before it was ready. I was not familiar with how the bike functioned and the shop person was not helpful in explaining how it worked. I figured it out. The bike ran great so whoever put it together at REI did a great job.
